@@TheSound0fLegends The problem is, most of humanity doesn't come close to actually DOING the great things He did; there's a big difference between "can be like" and "being thus". And that would be our fallen nature. Secondly, while God loves us all equally, there are shining examples that He chooses to be brighter lights than others, and without prayers from us on earth and the saints in heaven, most of us would be damned, most likely. Or do you not believe in the power of prayer? I don't condemn you, your heart may be in the right place, but you seem to be not very well versed in Scripture. It is full of these lessons, from Genesis to Revelations.

I remember learning from a Catholic priest that to love others is not a feeling of love (although it's a type of love), but to want the salvation of souls is love. Greek language has many words that describe the types of love, but to desire salvation of all souls is love. We don't have to even like a person to desire their salvation. I remember feeling liberated once learning that.

@@tehabnorm 🥺 please resist any negative temptations with the help of God's grace to overcome it by embracing God's love and treating others with love and forgiveness- imagine God present in each person and treat Him with a joyful love in those around you. It takes practice bit by bit to overcome (negative) temptations to want to hit back, or say something unkind. This is what St. Therese did - she learnt to resist a lot of strong daily temptations to impatience and pride towards her fellow nuns. She lived with a very, very difficult community. Hardly any of the nuns liked Therese and some of them treated her with indifference and unkindness both in word and action. She bore it courageously by learning to forget herself to love and forgive others. This helped her on the road to sanctity within a few years of her life in a cloistered Carmelite community! The only nuns who loved Therese were her blood sisters and a cousin. Her eldest sister was a Mother Prioress who saw, noticed and recognised Therese's hidden rise to sanctity and treated her the same as anyone in order to ensure she remained humbly well grounded. It was only sometime after her death when her exercise book of writings (Story of a soul) were read aloud to the nuns in the refectory that all the nuns were transformed and begun loving and defending Therese!! Lastly, there was a nun in the community with an extremely difficult character/personality (very quick angry and impatient temper). None of the nuns wanted to work with the difficult nun or be in her company. Therese offered to work with her. The nun thought Therese loved to be with her but Therese said in her book how difficult it was to be around that tiresome nun however she practised love and patience towards her. After Therese passed away, the Prioress broke the secret & told the difficult nun that Therese referred her as Sr. X! Of coz the difficult nun got a terrible shock but it didn't stop her love for Therese till her death! With practice bit by bit we could with God's help grow in loving everyone and it gets easier with time and effort! God bless!🙏✝️

I am trying to grow in trust of the Lord and His promises; but at the same time, I do not want folks to assume, after I die, that I am in heaven and not pray for my soul.
