This is what happens when you let a 5 year old listen to Live Jazz. You create the environment for a artist to grow into an icon🦄

hearing her talk about hearing her songs on KXT brought back so many memories, because it was that station that introduced me to st vincent's music

Her first album? Tripping Daisy....I'm an Elastic Firecracker!? What a cool first buy. That is a brilliant album....and no one knows about it. Super underrated album.....sorta a mix of 90s era Janes Addiction and Smashing Pumpkins. My first album I ever bought, with my child sized money, was Boyz II Men. I was 12 and it was 1995. Nowhere near as cool.

Yeah, I was impressed by her purchase of Tripping Daisy. I love TD, Jellyfish, and Redd Kross―'90s bands I associate together for their brilliance and woeful lack of an audience. I had forgotten she once played with The Polyphonic Spree.

Such an insightful interview. I love her. The David Byrne collaboration brought me on board. Thank god for that. I know nothing about the bands she mentions, will have to take a listen. I can't wait to see her at the MET. Saw Madonna there before the Covid. Now she will be the first big concert after. At the same fucking place. I am so psyched !!!!!!!!!
