Thank you for this comparison. I think, with the same generation of technic, mft will always be more stable simply because of the smaller sensor which is, just because of physics, easier to move around. Full frame on the other hand is always going to have an advantage on dof and in very low light, also just because of physics. The tell-tell sign in the first scene is simply the dof of the S5IIX - they are not matched in that aspect 😉 I still have my G9 with some zoom and prime lenses and the prime lenses give me enough dof for my taste. Even with a quite large body for the system, the lenses are small and I love to carry around my G9 with 4 lenses in a small camera bag. The autofocus had lots of updates and is quite good in my opinion - the G9II is on my shopping list for some time in the future 👍

It's pretty wild how good the IBIS is on these cameras. Between these and the GH6, industry leading. Almost good enough to replace a gimbal for some limited shots. Super excited to see what the next iteration of these cameras can do in terms of IBIS fidelity!

Did you leave the Dual IS2 feature on the G9II lens? That alone would make a big difference regardless of software. You should test equivalent lenses without Dual IS.

Cool you guys got to meet up! G9II wins, but the S5II is very impressive! Have fun in Japan. Very exciting!

Thanks man! Super fun!!!

You could test alternative lenses on the G9 II to see the autofocus!

I liked the colors more, on the S5IIx, especially for skin tones. As for stabilization, I'm surprised how close they are.

The G9II should be ahead. The sensor has more space to move and Lumix replaced the fan by a gyroscope.... but I'm impressed by the performances of the S5II because it's really good. (Good work Lumix engineers !!)

The engineers killed it! I learned some interesting tricks recently after this video too

Crazy 😮 I was weirdly right 😂 Great job on both LUMIX.

Nice! Yeah if you watch closely you can definitely tell but it is still a lot closer than I expected

How does the S9 compare to these two cameras, I would love one just for simple stabalised clips, and to be a little less conspicuous

Pretty solid! Minus the record limits, and the higher quality settings this camera looks the exact same in terms of the ibis and image quality as the S5iiX

He actually is, that is a pre recorded video I guess

Yeah! I am actually in Japan but I wanted to make sure you guys are still getting some other content too!

Was the S5ii front heavy with the weight of the lens?
@MatthewDangyou3 ай бұрын
Yes which I don’t know if that made it easier or harder because yeah if I added a vmount and top handle that could have made it even more balanced and stabled
@mygconsultingyou3 ай бұрын
@@MatthewDangyou yeah, I think it’s hard to be balanced with an unbalanced camera no matter if it’s light or heavy. The balance matters. I am GH6 shooter and that camera is probably heavier than both of those cameras but as long as my rig is balanced I can get really steady shots.
