I feel your struggle with sharpening those pastel pencils. This was my struggle when sharpening charcoal pencils too. Was frustrated because it was a gift by a good friend. Every bits went to the trash 😭

Where I live these pencils are expensive and half of them are not that good light fastness. I prefer the faber castell more bang for your buck and better to sharpen. I use a stadler 180 crank sharpener and sharpen graphite after each time I sharpen them. It helps keep the sharpener sharp for longer.

Oh yeah, I do have those pencils and keep them in my rotation whenever I go out with my friends :) Of course, when I lend it to them, I have to keep a close eye so that they wont over sharpen or break them several times :)

For this one, I used a local brand of journal notebook Tokyo Finds. I've used them on Canson Mi Tiens but I am still learning pastel Art. I'm more used to watercolors and colored pencils:)
