20th March 2022. This is a super informative and helpful video. I'm watching your videos from way back to learn about horse health, safety, care, etc. You are a great teacher my friend. Thanks a lot for sharing. Cheers from Silvana from South America Uruguay 🇺🇾

I would have been super pleased if you had named names. I'm always looking for a better nibble net I appreciate you mentioning Nag bags I will check that out, been feeding my horses with hay nets ,1 inch holes, for years. They all got used to it they gained weight at first and then gradually when they realized the food would always be there they just ate when they really felt like it. It is work getting hay out of 1 inch holes. Thanks for posting the video.

Well... just imagine every single other company isn't very good. The ONLY company so far that I've tried (and I've tried a lot) is Nagbag that creates a good quality hay bag.
@Godscountryside2 жыл бұрын
Very informative thanks for that could I ask how many hours that high quality green bag will last
@StableHorseTraining2 жыл бұрын
Depends on the size of bag, speed of horse, type of hay and how full it is... but, overall maybe 4 to 8 hours

Good Morning, you answered my question on your newest video about the Nag Bag Hay Net, which lead me to this video 😆. I truly love your channel. I always watch your new videos and I leave your channel running in the background when I clean house because your videos are so calming. I have another question, Do you have any teeth wear or gum problems with the hay nets? I think there were a lot of issues with that in the past, before I had my horses. I’ll be buying the large 4x4x8 square bale net from nag. Thank you so much.

thank you very much! That sounds wonderful and it's just great that being with the horses is calming. I haven't seen any extra wear on the teeth so far and my vet hasn't mentioned anything in that regards.

Graeme, when hanging a hay bag should it be against some sort of solid backstop (i.e. wall, fence, or tree trunk) or is it OK to just hang in the open?
@StableHorseTraining3 жыл бұрын
It's ok to hang it but it's usually harder for the horses. You also want to be cautious of them getting tangled in it at all
@RickyJr463 жыл бұрын
I did not realize the entanglement issue so thank you!!!

Yes better if it has some thing to brace it so horses have easier time

Thanks for making this video. I was looking at hay nets / bags and the Nag Bag seems like they will fit the bill.

You're welcome. Yes, they are the best that I have found so far

sounds like your in canada(and i dont know if this brand ships outside the US) but have you tried Haychix nets? they sound like their strong and superb quality nets...i've not tried them as i dont have horses(have goats though) but lots of people seem to praise the Haychix nets
@StableHorseTraining4 жыл бұрын
thanks for the suggestion! I have never tried them but have heard a couple of people say positive things. If I ever have the chance to try them I'll be sure to make a video

Can you not make a hay feeder from wood or i seen some videos where they cut down a IBC and use that Or them blue barrels you got in video cut in half
@StableHorseTraining7 жыл бұрын
Excellent questions! Yes, those are all possible but depending on the horse they can get destroyed really quickly. When we consider safety and reliability, just the hay bag is the best if it's going to be something derived from a hay bag. I think I may have just realized another video idea... "All the things wrong with slow feeders". It's a hard nut to crack but I do have an idea. When I make it and test it, I'll showcase it. Hopefully soonish..
