I really hope they bring back more of Ellen Burstyn for the next season. She was perfect to be Elliot's Mama. Every scene between them is gold and I love how she accepts Olivia in her son and children's lives. There's not many who can hold their own in a scene with Ellen Burstyn which is one of the many reasons I have such respect for Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay!

This episode provided some much needed insight into Stabler many, many seasons in. So amazing this show is still on and these characters are still around to tell their stories.

Every time I watch this episode on tv I am always uncomfortable of seeing those pictures of a younger teenage Elliot stabler. Uncomfortable because of knowing what that little teenager grows into. I’m not going to lie but Elliot Stabler not only annoys me sometimes but I am also afraid of him.

1:35. Is his father implying that really? That at least he isn’t dressed as an actual fruit or is he implying it in a homosexual kind of way?
@jadefire1814 Жыл бұрын
Both. I think that's the "joke". Cops in the 60s (the time of Elliott's father) were hyper-masculine as a general rule. Used to be a lot of homophobia.

So because they are older that means it shouldn’t be seen or revisited? Older people shouldn’t be ignored in media. SVU is the most popular law and order section. This coming from a guy who just got into the show 2 yrs ago.
