Both cars are fantastic, one isn't better than the other because it all depends on your personal preference and needs.

My brother lived with a Gen 6 SS 1LE manual for 3 years and loved it, his only complaint was the trunk opening was small, and fitting large things inside was tough. The 6 speed manual felt amazing and the steering was great too. Suspension was a little on the stiff side but not a deal breaker. A non 1LE will be smoother. I drove a C7 Grand Sport automatic and absolutely fell in love with how easy it drove, and how comfortable it was. The Targa roof is a huge bonus, and the visibility in the Corvette is actually better than the Camaro, and the trunk is much larger too. I personally would go for the Corvette, but only if you’re single, no kids and don’t live where it snows. Before you buy a Corvette, look up all the common problems, like cracking wheels, tensioner pulleys, torque tube bushings and so on

Depends on the vehicle, but always the 1:1 gear. On a Manual CT5-V Blackwing that would be 4th.

You’re not getting a good reading because of lost power of raising the car. You’re probably making more power!

We weren't going for dyno numbers we were simulating a 1/8th mile pass, but we have never had issues getting a reading with the car raising up.
