What a find! Along with the superb performance, the two meter distancing creates an acoustic marvel for a small ensemble orchestra. The space becomes an instrument in itself.

I particularly LOVE the fact that their tempo is not RUSHED. This is an absolutely magical concerto, whether for only organ, strings and two violins, or as above. It is obvious that Bach adored it too, and to his enormous credit did NOT inject himself into the work, but kept the cogency of Vivaldi, respecting every note of the Italian master. Quite an interesting interpretation - the organ played perfect. I am nearly 70 and rather old-fashioned, which explains why I actually prefer the pure (original) organ version performed by Simon Preston.

It seems that this is a concerto originally for two violins and strings by Antonio Vivaldi, transcribed for keyboard and strings by J.S. Bach, and further adapted for organ and strings by Marcel Dupré.

This is one of the most elegant music ensemble. She is no less either, sitting very up right, no bad habits. She of course, does not need to sell any skin; doesn’t need any sex appeal ! Some criticize her she shoes. But an organist’s shoes need to be very soft so that she can roll from key to key. Those shoes are hard to find so that her feet are very comfortable and free to roll... All in all, this music is one of the most beautiful, calculated for top notch professional indulgence.

Zwischen die Satzen gibts der Ruhigspause langer als benutzt werdenlassen. Wenn es durchgeradeaus ist gespielt werden, dann fuhlte mir Bachs Komposition ist besser( connected in English. Use the past perfect tense)

Because it is :D Bach transcribed it for Solo Organ and called it Organ Concerto. What you hear in this video is another transcription, this time from the Bach transcription, by Marcel Dupré. He added strings to the Bach transcription, sticking quite closely to the vivaldi. Good ear of you to notice, you know your Vivaldi ;)

Why? The piano was little used in Bach's time. He did however write a frequently performed solo organ transcription of the piece.

This is a terrible, even awful version of this concert... First - the BWV.593 is a SOLO ORGAN concert, second - the tempi.... it is soooooo sloooowww..... I'm sure that both Vivaldi and Bach would be dying again if they would listen this.....
