When’s the worksheet coming on on this topic? I’m assuming that’s the last of the biopsychology sub-topics, I’ve noticed you’ve made videos on some of the other topics but haven’t put out any of the worksheets, do you plan on making those or just the new videos? But amazing video

Thanks for letting me know - I'd completely forgotten to upload the worksheet! It's now available for you to download. Hope it helps :) Want to make worksheets/complete topic booklets for all the videos - some coming soon on the website that are contain all the information fully completed!

The ones that are coming soon, do you know when will they be they’ll be on the website? (Wondering if I can use them to revise before the actual exams or not, your videos are amazing to watch but what makes them even better is that they have worksheets that I can do while watching, it really makes the information go into my long term memory better, thank you for uploading all of this for free because many people make students pay for resources)

Please Teacher Tom, make a video about language, its learning and aquistion theories by chidlren and adults. It's an intriguing subject and i dont have full grasp of it.

Oh that would be very interesting. It certainly is an intriguing subject! Takes me back to when I was studying English Language - lots of psychological overlap. Sadly not something I'm going to be covering any time soon on the channel but this may help: chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/www.montsaye.northants.sch.uk/assets/Uploads/English-Language-Summer-Work-2.pdf

Would the research of McClintock be a strength because it provides support that endogenous pacemakers and exogenous zeitgeibers play a role in infradian rhythms?
@BearitinMIND

Good question - you could potentially use the study as supporting evidence for both EPs (women naturally had their own internal menstrual cycle rhythm that was originally different from others) and EZs - potentially influenced by pheromones. How that helps 😊

If we got a 16 marker on Infradian rhythms, does it be enough to talk about just the menstrual cycle for AO1? Because in lessons, we went through SAD also, but is me knowing about menstrual cycle enough?
@BearitinMIND
@BearitinMIND 2 ай бұрын
Good question - it depends how much you write. Don't forget that you can potentially also score AO1 marks for description of research if you provide enough detail. I'd be surprised by a full 16 mark question for infradian rhythms (but who knows!). I could imagine it as an essay that asks about both infradian and ultradian, or either as an 8 marker. Maybe they would do infradian and ultradian as 16 marks but with application. Feel free to include SAD to help add to your AO1 though - good content to include.

@@BearitinMIND 🥲🥲 Also another question, which I don’t know if you can answer, but what’s the difference between a Type one and Type two error, I don’t get it😭

No problem. Psychologists use the 5% (0.05) significance level of probability. This, very simply, means that if they find that there results are significant that they are 95% confident it is due to the independent variable, BUT that means there is still a 5% probability that the results were down to chance. This means that there are two potential errors. Firstly, a Type I error (also known as a false positive) which is when they say they have found a significant result, BUT it might have been down to chance. A Type II error (also known as a false negative) is when they say they did NOT find a significant result, BUT they might have done. Silly example (!): If a man takes a pregnancy test, and the test says he's pregnant - this is a false positive (Type I error). It says something has happened (positive - which doesn't mean good, just that something happened), and false because it's obviously not true In contrast, if a clearly very heavily pregnant women takes a pregnancy test and the result comes back that she's not pregnant, this would be a Type II error - a false positive. Type I errors are more likely to occur with large significance levels (say 10%, 0.10) Type II errors are more likely to occur with small significance levels (say 1%, 0.01) Hope that helps a little.
