This has saved me so much time. I still haven't cleaned my grinder and it has now been 21/2 months since installed and a lot of glass grinding has been done. 👏 Are there studio improvements you been thinking about doing? Leave your thoughts in the comments.

I do have to take a cup of water at the beginning of a new grinding session and pour over it to get everything loose and it runs out the hose. Once I get going most of the glass runs out. It is when I stop the water flow and not grind for awhile is when it settles. I am looking too increase water volume by changing the pump to the next level up to increase the flow to keep things moving. Thanks for watching, subscribing, and the comment. Appreciate it!

I use a paper towel and do the same thing you do with scraping the gunk around the grinder head. Just for grins I fused the gunk in a kiln in pendant mold and it turned out like gray stone color. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for watching! I wonder if you added frit to the gunk after it dried out and fired it, what it would look like. I don’t have a kiln to try it but I bet it would be interesting. 😆

Thank you for the awesome idea. I love DIY stuff. This should also save your bits. Have you found the secondary deck that goes on for the 1/4” bit? I can’t find any seller or anything.

I haven't been able to find it yet either. I need to ask around in some of my SG groups. I heard some have taken a shaft from an old one and JB Weld it to the other one ensuring alignment. I might try that. Working on an armoire transformation now. Have a couple of #shorts on it. Thanks for watching. After running this for 7 months now, you may opt for the next pump size up if you want a little more pressure and longer hose length. I push this small pump to the limit. I might go up a pump size myself.

@@SCOARTGLASS I did see on a distributed website that the item was discontinued but it’s not the official website. I’m beginning to think it was discontinued though. I’m glad to see that your set up is working okay for you! I’ll probably work on this today! Did you get everything from Lowe’s?

@@SuperAstrophysicist Yes. Good luck with the project. I will try and find a shaft piece that fits and see about the JB Weld application and see if that works. I post another DIY video on it later.

I love this! How often do you find yourself draining your Grinder?
