Very exciting, Ty for the video. Found you while researching options for refinishing a circa 1870s Empire Revival bureau. The thing is made with acres of thick veneer of quilted bird’s eye maple (BEM). I could keep it amber/blond, but I prefer dark warm brown tones. So easy to jank up maple, but then I found your work. Do you think your method would work for BEM? Is the final finish an oil, varnish, shellac, or poly? Or something marvelous I don’t have? Ty in advance

For walnut you only need to use a sealer or oil of your choice. You can adjust the color with aniline dyes. We sell a few, or you can get them from Laurel Mountain Forge. They have a nice color chart on their website.
