In this video I'll take you through the process of building a stainless steel rocket stove water heater. It was a fun build with a pile of TIG welding. #rocketstove #tigwelding #diy #custom #fire #camping #welding

I want one. I literally wanted to sleeve a 4 inch stove with a 6 inch pipe, and here it is

It works quite well! I am happy with the result. However to heat the volume of water I need I need to build a larger one. Perhaps 8-10”. But for a camping scenario to heat water for showers it’s fantastic!!! Also without any water in it you can use it too cook like normal

Found your channel today love it. A friend got me a welder and plasma cutter thought I needed a hobby lol I'm 69 retired. Have you thought about plans for this build so us beginners could build one

Hey thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to comment! I have been trying to build the channel over the last year and a half. We have a cool snowcat build ongoing and couple other projects coming up. Most videos will be of some sort of fabrication but every now and again we get out of the shop. At this time I don’t have any plans. This was sort of a wing it build. There are much better ways of building a rocket stove using tubing that is much less work. But I used this as a project to brush up on my SS TIG welding. But in the future I will keep that in mind to possible make plans if the project lends its self well to it. Hey it’s never too late to learn something new! I love looking at a pile of material and just thinking I can make that into anything… I hope to teach and entertain in my videos. Thanks again! Stay in touch!

Next time instead of cutting individual parts, cut some to 85% (slotted creases like a cardboard box like fruit trays) and fold it, then go back and fill the slots, then you wouldn't have to "assemble it"

Only issue is that would cause more waste during cutting out. Wouldn’t be able to nest the parts the same.
