Thanks for doing all these videos. You do really great work. After looking through all of them, I didn't see a situation where you laid 3/4 hardwood over a glued down laminate flooring. Do you feel this would be OK to do as long as longer staples are used? MY subfloor is 3/4 OSB T&G. My 3/8x3 laminate is glued directly to this subfloor so pulling it up will damaged the subfloor. The new floor will be 3/4x3-14 boards running the same direction as the old floor. Thanks for taking a second to listen to my project and any info would really help out.

Well, 1st of all, it's my experience that you are not supposed to glue down laminate, so I am a little bit curious as to whether it's actually laminate or if it is an engineered wood.. I would like to take a look at your job. After speaking with Kellie, She suggested that you send us some pictures so we can take a look at the product, and also, if your air conditioning vents are in the floor, pull one of those up and try to take a picture of the floor that Way I can kind of see what kind of species it is. Whether it's laminate. Whether it's wood and what it looks like underneath the flooring that you have right now. I don't think that it would be a problem to install hardwood on top of a glue down or stapled down engineered wood floor, but I feel that. Going on top of a laminate floor that is glued down may cause problems in the future. Also wanted to mention that if you are able to go on top of your existing floor, you may want to consider removing your baseboards because once you lay 3/4 of an inch. There won't really be much baseboard left existing to see, and it may not look attractive one other thing you want to consider is whether your cabinets are setting in place on the subfloor, You will want to make sure that you can get your dishwasher in-and-out if you ever have a leak or have to replace it and also if. You have a cabinet over your refrigerator you want to make. Sure, your refrigerator is going to clear that cabinet. If you bring your floor up 3/4 of an inch. As for now, that's all I have, but I look forward to seeing some pictures. You can send those to youfloor.net@gmail.com Thanks for the question
