#welding #repair #welder I can’t believe the inspector missed this but called out something to change that wasn’t even code. Not the first time I’ve come behind a building inspector that didn’t know code. But we come in and do our best to weld and fabricate everything up to the customer and inspectors standards. These small structural mobile welding jobs are my specialty. But mid job I get a change order and have to bring in one of my sub contractors to give me a hand. That’s just par for course in the welding business!
Here’s some tools I used
3m welding respirator- amzn.to/3oBd4kJ
Black Stallion welding Gloves- amzn.to/42aeLmX
Neck protector- amzn.to/43hZZw0
Black stallion welding jacket- amzn.to/3IOSMuX
Here’s my Instagram-www.instagram....

It looks like you're using NR-211. Do you have any experience with NR-232 or 233? I'm gearing up to start taking some mobile welding jobs, and i was looking at E71T-8 for general purpose welding on carbon steel, to use instead of stick welding, under most conditions, due to the higher productivity that it can provide.

T-8 wires are for heavy structural. Would have been a good choice for Anthony's portion of the job, the channel, angle, hss/base plate welds. But it would be a nightmare on the railing.
@elkvis
@elkvis Жыл бұрын
@@jordanarizon4089 my understanding is that T-8 wire is suitable for general purpose welding of mild steel and certain alloys, in addition to the specific applications for which it was expressly designed.

Noooo . 7018/6013 is a pain/horrible to weld on these railings . 7014 Lincoln electric 3/32 stick weld at about 80 is perfect for this job . I weld all railings with 7014 Lincoln electric. It works perfect for me especially in the wind . 5lbs should be about 20$ please try it you won't regret it . Do a review on it ..

That particular fire code is an interesting one, in the case of schools the idea behind it is having the landing large enough to get someone in a wheelchair evacuated onto the balcony into a breathable atmosphere and await fire rescue. While still leaving enough room for people to walk by. Atleast that's per KY firs code

When you come to an "open railing" do you blow the insides to clean it? Grease it ? Sheila shine it? WD40? Windex? Or use a sand blower? To clean the glass? And im probably gonna sound stupid but if the building is 10,000 square feet is 5,000 people the capacity of people that can fit in that building?

On the decent of the stairs standing from the top there are how many bars let's say there's 13 steps 26 rails on one side do you account for rebars on the inside of the other side of the stairs? Since I'm not familiar with all my choices of rods can I choose the number of the closet highway or junction? If the street has a number under like >1000 Martin St
