- starting in hard survivalist was a bad idea - not upgrading your gear properly before radar was a bad idea - shooting boars head while they are the most resistant part (shoot the sides) - guns with broken barrels are unusable - for saturation just use in the game brightness slider, your game is abnormally dark, gamma is not that dark by default, and it’s actually made to be bright. That could be due to your driver related desktop colors calibration - for the ambiant, the base games had fake sounds. Dogs barking in the distance but there’s no dogs actually. In GAMMA all the sounds are real, if you hear a dog, there’s an actual dog where you hear it. - your crashes most likely come from the changes you made to the modlist as the pack is otherwise quite stable.

Entering lab X16 requires AT LEAST a Skat-9, an auto shotgun (Saiga is ideal but SPAS is not a bad choice) and a 45cal hydra pistol. - Buy / Craft A night visor asap - Use shotguns against monsters, other weaps against ppl (shotguns works only on bandits, and use slugs agains them) - Use 45 hyrda shock agains monsters at beginning buckshots against weak mobs, slugs agains tougher ones - Watch out for what type of ammo u using, armored target -> AP rounds, Not armoured -> HP round - You can heal at campfires even without that artifact, you can full heal by sleeping at a bed. - You can cheese the "kill the army guys" mission in swamp by just camping inside the truck, peek -> shoot -> crouch (sometimes they will even clip iniside be ready to knife/shoot them) + Get a silencer for the sniper

The best modded stalker experience i ever had was way back in the days of call of chernobyl. It had basically every feature of gamma you just had to install them seperately. It took a loooooooooooot of work but it was fantastic and slightly more stable. Sadly many of the mods didnt keep up development and it was soon basically impossible to find the right balance of patches and mods.

always have antibiotic on your inventory because if your really far aways from any shelter. take one antibiotic and it will put you to sleep and wake up the next day or 8 hours have passed if i remember it correctly.

I honestly loved the vanilla STALKER series, well.... as you said, Yamiks. Due to it's amazing sound and environmental stuff you're experiencing in them! I am aware they're not perfect and are missing some stuff, especially the Clear Sky one where many mechanics and in-game stuff chose to crash randomly, but to be honest.... it crashed less than Gamma. And those abandoned, delapidated sites were always fun to explore, if I was sad about something that's the fact that Pripyat did not receive enough attention in the games and you were always forced to speed-rush trough it compared to the other regions. Toghether with the NPP site, I found it to be very interesting to explore...... Although there's still a few in my mind that won't leave my memories anytime soon, like the Rail Station, the Scar area, Red Forest, Cement Factory and so on. Chernobylite was also pretty fun and interesting to play and nailed some of STALKER's feelings in the playtrough, although it did not quite reach it's atmosphere and the sentiment of wonder/fear while exploring the Zone.

Seems like 3 days turned into 13...But hey it was worth it for all the content! Loved the episode! Also I see you play GAMMA like I do with my ADHD riddled brain....run and jump in! I do it even in Ironman mode...though I try not to. I also recommend giving the EFP modpack a try. While it hasnt been updated in a while, it does feel more "realistic" when it comes to gun damage. In GAMMA mutants require HP to kill them efficently. In EFP a bullet is a bullet. So if you shoot someone in the head in EFP they die without a good helmet...in GAMMA sometimes I hit multiple headshots in a row and they still live.

Yeah... merc outposts in the Wild Territory. From cover to cover, close enough that you don't need a scope, then the DOOM music kicks in... Also... you need to learrn how to use cover and the occasional tactical retreat. Some smaller trees can be penetrated too. It works for your shots as well. With a powerful enough round ofc...

Fun Fact: early into Gamma development you could outrun pretty much everything in a light armour from the start, that changed... like.... a lot xD other fun Fact: to stop rushing B (the north) basically everything further north than Army Warehouse is covered in the Psy Emissions from the big brain in a jar and the Brain scorcher. Get a psy helmet from the Egg heads if you want to get to the high tier loot. Bonus fun Fact: by midgame your char is basically addicted to every drug known to man kind, medical or not - gotta go fast and pop da morphine, before you melee a chimera

I gave up on GAMMA. There's just too many mods that bring my potato of a comp's FPS to a snails pace. Changing the shader helped somewhat, but not enough. I went back to Anomaly with about a dozen mods I feel are essential. It's also far more stable. Plus, some of the changes in GAMMA's gameplay, namely what you face trying to disable the brain scorcher, put the difficulty over-the-top for me. I hate a timer. Running in to shut the thing down on a time limit was bad enough, now you have to fight your way in on a timer. Not my idea of fun.

I have had two crashes in some 90 hours of three combined GAMMA playthroughs. You have a hardware issue, or you didn't install it properly. All story missions in Anomaly/GAMMA universally suck ass, I prefer to just use console commands to skip those passages to have fun running around doing jobs making money for better gear to go further. It's incredibly customizable, but an outdated PC will gate you, as is the case with modern games.

I definitely recommend giving SPT a shot, the Singleplayer mod for Tarkov (which also has a coop mod). For all the shit BSG has pulled, Tarkov is a pretty amazing foundation. With the right QoL and gameplay tweak mods and most importantly without the hackers, its incredibly fun!

Not gonna lie, I need elaborations on the whole graphics and sounds rant. The graphics I can understand, as some aspects of the graphics are not my favorite thing as well, but I had no idea what the issue with the sound was. The fact that it is not as quiet/loud when it comes to guitar music? No sound effects for atmosphere? That one confused me. Great video apart from that, love to see someone try to basically headbutt their way into the Brain Scorcher with varying results.

Sound. Notice distant envioromwnt sfx not playing lime dogs/mutants barking, random hu.an yells gone. Wind blowing on trees also gone or muted. Worst of all its noticable in any underground lab where there barely is any aound fx left in gamma.

Iirc, back in the anomaly days, the distant noises, growls and such were present in the vanilla Anomaly, but because of it, people like me either confused the distant growls of mutants as real ones and were hiding away for a while, or confused the real growls for the ambient ones, and got killed for it.

You don't do the game justice... Your settings must be garbage that your game looks like that. And an up-to-date installation rarely crashes these days.... ask all the Invictus player. Crashes did happen mostly in the endgame with way too many items in the northern maps (stashes). How you manages to kill your game that early and so often... maybe only you know. I am a big fan of your Elite rants...this video, was painful to watch as GAMMA deserves a lot more praise.

I have about 300-400 hours in gamma: ill just respond to the video in general Medical system is easy to understand once you learn what each medical item does, but ALOT of people make it simpler so your not slamming two different item types Current GAMMA does not actually install reshade by default, the colors are just the textures etc Dont use guns with broken barrels, just dont, they dont do damage Its hilarious that you mention OP mutants in the south, everything use to be able to spawn in cordon (though pseudogiants specifically are a joke, they only can kill NPCs unless you have no brain) Nights are dark...because its night, craft a flashlight and or NVGs, they arent a hard craft at all The way the AI are, if your not moving you tend to get laser beamed, while they cant lead a moving target they save their lifes, its extremely annoying, AI also cant even see you past 75M or so so sniping is brain dead levels of OP on larger maps, stalker AI is immune to anomalies because they cant see them due to hard limited game engine reasons. AI spawn logic is also fucked. Make sure your using the right ammo for the job, AP for stalkers, HP for mutants, otherwise you wont do much damage, FMJ can kill low armored stalkers and smaller mutants though. Your insane for doing brain scorcher with that shit of gear but nice job Edit: With the amount of crashes you have your gamma install is either broken or the mods you added on top are broken, it should not crash worse than fallout new vegas

I think i didnt note this in the video. But recording took total of 36 hoirs. In video i showcased all the crashes i had... and yes i installed it correctly. As for coloring : yes there is no reshade.. thank fuck vut textures in many places especially in BAR felt off.. like they are bleached or something

@@TheYamiks Crash amount is normal then for 36 hours, my game always tended to crash at cordon to garbage bandit checkpoint and yantar to dead city. Most of the major base interior locations are quite bad visuals wise, and they cause massive fps drops especially in dark valley and yanov station as the base settings keep task npcs around iirc
