The Failure of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (2023)

Call of duty(TM) Modern Warfere(TM) 3(TM) is a 70$ DLC not a game and an utter failure. An MVP - minimal viable product, that fails to deliver any kind of good gamepaly that eve n is remotely worth the money. EVEN 9 MONTHS AFTER the release. Microtransactions, monetization and lack of effort in this AAA game from Activision Blizzard is completeley shameful and a true FAILURE!

I stopped playing CoD games after i got into a hacked server TWICE in a row where ALL my achievements and stuff was unlocked, that was back in 2012 in MW2. The original one. Never have i bought any CoD/MW game since and it won´t happen ever again.

I was only there for the zombies. I was one of the many who shouted to never buy another cod after the BO3 fiasco, but I guess one of the few who kept their word. It has been absolutely hillarious watching the serie go to shit, how crap the games ran and the waves of complaints they had after😂

I like mw2 and dmz... But after the mw3... They made it so i had to go through major loading screens and updates just to enter mw2 stuff... I did not want mw3 yet. Mw2 was still new to me. I uninstalled Blizzard after that... Waste of my time. Also i had a battle pass and did not complete in time. Unlocked like 1 item. Stupid game and sales tactics. I am casual and hate Blizzard now. Even WoW moves way too fast. I'll play other games. We are not professional gamers.. fk i play games once or twice a week if lucky

I never payed over 60 bucks for a game. If a game comes out and costs more, I wait until it goes on sale to buy it. My way of saying "I won't accept further increase in price for games. I'll buy them at max 60, or not at all".

Me too, switched to Steam and just wait for the discounts😂 Specially if I dont like the direction a developer is taking it, then the amount wont even be 2 digits. I think 60 is still to much, but considering inflation and all I am willing to pay that for a decent title. A game that had at least a few years of development and actual new content. I don’t even wanna know how many versions of nuketown there are by now😂

I’m so glad I stopped spending money on cod after BO3. I remember many people being absolutly pissed shouting they would “never buy another cod again”. I actually did and it was hillarious to watch the devolution of the serie and the complaining of people who couldn’t keep their word.

Same, been with Warframe off and on since 2015. Tossed a few bucks in here and there, and it def enhanced my gameplay by making my ass look damn sexy while in mission 🤣. Only FTP game I have tossed a few dollars at over the many years.

They are predatory...and only passable for free-to-play. There is NO excuse for premium games (pay XX$ and you get the game)!

@@TheYamiks To be honest, while I understand your vitriol, I don't see any problems with microtx in F2P as long as it doesn't affect gameplay in any manner. (e.g. cosmetics, skins, character model) Players would be fine to just play the game and progress normally like everyone else even if they don't spend any money (aka not pay-to-win, like WoT gold ammo, or in-game perks like speedups or buffs etc)

Free to play I can understand SOME micro transactions. Paid for MMO can do scheduled paid DLC which contain items to upgrade yer kit. And paid expansions to advance the story (if there is one) and maps with new weapons, vehicles etc. But a full price Won and Done with Multi player add-on should NOT have micro transactions of any kind, but CAN have paid for DLC/Expansion to round out the game. Just has to make sense, be worthwhile and justifiable in order to be acceptable

See cod series has always had a level of dishonesty towards its players even back then, way back when they said they removed the perk last stand in a press conferance, instead they lied and kept it in the game except under a different name "final stand" back in mw3 classic and it was a death streak that EVERYONE hated except for the person using it. Then theres the whole pattent behind predatory matchmaking algorithms, im not speaking sbmm im saying matching whales with people who would never spend a dime past the 70 entry fee in an attempt to manipulate them into buying more mtx

i dont understand the general hate for advanced warfare, for me it was pretty good, the seamless transition from urban combat to aerial/space combat, to space walk combat and then inside ship fighting, without ONE load screen it was groundbreaking and super immersive
