I am the same way when it comes to picking and choosing what I get from this line. Love my three and three-quarter inch guys, but I do have to have some of my old favorites in super Duper detail.

As much as I like how the Classified line quickly turned into revamped versions of classic figs, I kinda would've liked to see what the line would've been like if they had carried on the way wave 1 did. It looked like they at least had some stuff planned, "lore-wise".

I think the game is a pretty good indication of what that would've looked like. It's an unpopular opinion but maybe oneday we Amy see those variations.

Awesome look at Stalker, thanks Paul! I have the same retro 2020 Stalker as Stephen. I love the character looking a bit aged. I could see a GI Joe show where Stalker isn't the leader, but pretty much the main character. In Renegades they saw him alone at a social gathering eating up all the celery stalks with ranch dip, so they named him Stalker.

Stalker is an awesome figure. For me, he's one of the best ones they've recently released. The only aspect that I wasnt sure about until I had him in hand was the green they used for his web gear. Promo shots made the green look almost gray to me but that might have been my slight color blindness giving me issues. Once in hand though, my concerns were paid to rest. Anyways, Glad you enjoy it. None of the regular releases come with a stand only the retro carded ones come with a stand. I'm a GI Joe junky. I have almost all of them. Only ones I dont have are a few of the alternate versions of characters like Cobra Island Roadblock, Pimp Daddy Destro, or Regal Coco. For the most part I'm all in on Classified

If we moan about it enough I feel like Hasbro will give us stands. I had that same feeling when I saw his colour in the promo images. I am very happy with the colour in hand. Thanks for the comment :D

I was skeptical of the Classified series at first but after buying my first few I became obsessed with them. This is a great example of a Classified figure but I think they've gotten progressively better since the first wave or two. I'm glad you brought up the thing about the wobbly backpacks because it's truly the worst aspect about gearing up these figs. Harnesses or workable straps for the packs would be awesome, instead. Not sure if you guys have done any in-depth discussions about the strengths and weaknesses of the Classified line but I would be down to hear it!

@weaponlogic I like the new look camouflage gear and the weapons look are also looking good. I started to collect them all, but some of the earlier releases were a bit off-putting. The recent figures have been a lot better, and they look more like their original style from the 80s. Burg.

Excellent review of a fantastic figure. One of the best in the line. The shemaugh is cool but it's bulky, not having it doesn't hurt the figure and I've just left it off. If you want it to fit better you can heat it up, fit it on him, heat it a little more and it should hug the contours better.

Yeah after playing with this figure for thae past few days I have settled on this. Its a great Piece and they made the effort but its not working, atlerast not on Stalker.

Nice review my guy! Yeah I was absolutely in the same boat as you when they first announced Stalker, super excited...then hesitation...because it looked a little off color wise with the uniform. Then , as you said, in hand its a relief that it is awesome. Basic and subdued, yes... Exactly what his uniform is supposed to be. As far as Classified figures...well you know me.... I have them all...well all the characters. I skipped many of the variants and retro Baroness, Storm Shadow and Lady Jaye. I'm working through opening the Tiger Force and Python Patrol figs still. I also have more CGs to get as I only have 1 so far, Mindbender came a couple weeks ago and Serpentor arrived yesterday.

I've been a super Classified fan sense the beginning and Stalker is one of the better additions to the line. So far I have gotten every character, but not every version. Like how I got Tiger Force Outback and Bazooka so I won't touch the normal ones because I got the ones I want.

Ueah you gotta be smart these days. Not only is it a price issue but also a space concern. But yeah I'm with you there. Trying to get the one you like as your ultimate is a good practice. Otherwise it just feels like you hoarding.

Awesome review, Paul, and that's a great looking figure! Regarding how the shawl sits on the figure- Is it possible to remove the web gear and have him just wearing the shawl? That might let the shawl sit properly on his shoulders, and it covers most of the web gear anyway, so maybe it wouldn't be missed? (Or, at least it could give him a more "covert" look for situations where he wouldn't be wearing all of his gear?)

So they actually moulded some cavities in the shawl to fit snuggly onto the webbing. That said, to remove the webbing means possibly damaging it because hasbro doesn't make em removable. But I think you're onto something there.

The silencer/suppressor seems to have also a compensator (looks a lot like the SilencerCo Osprey 45), but I may be wrong. I don't like his hands, since I can't hold the weapons on the correct shooting pose. The weapons also have short length of pull, meaning that you can't correctly shoulder it. I tried some Valaverse weapons on him and it looked better. The "Pulverizer" muzzle is fragile and I almost broke mine while storaging it inside the backpack/holster. Loved the head sculpt! That's what an old grizzled Army Sgt should look like. Duke looks too young for his rank on Classified series.

You are right about the can for his 45 being a Silencerco. I think this is a great looking figure. I really disliked the first wave, but the recent waves of figures have been great. My boys and I have also bought some of the Valaverse Action Force figs, and they all go together well. I slept on getting stalker in the store, and I can’t find him now.

@@weaponlogic the reason silencerco made the suppressor rectangular and offset toward the bottom is so that it has the same internal volume as a normal can, but it doesn’t obstruct the sights or require tall suppressor height sights.

Wonderful review Paul. You taken the role of Joe Classified reviewer hehe. Staker's uniform is still very accurate since the vintage 83 mostly used the same body mold. Both Snakeeyes and Staker share body in the vintage 83 figures its a great choice for hasbro to give it callback easter egg like feature in their uniform evenso its again more on cost saving. and it gives it a traditional armed forces uniform. Also, the scar on his hair seems more like a hairdo those with shaved line style on crew cut than a scar, can't be 100% sure and you can be more right than me haha. Can't see if there is like a indent bumpy (?) Texture. My clasified figure so far are Duke, Scarlett, Flint, LadyJay, regal coco, Baroness, Bat, crimson guard ,xamot and tomax. Viper, firefly and cobra soldier. Not much yet but expecting covergirl, the haslab hisstank set. And the flight pod with televiper too.

Pretty cool my man i cherry pick with classified to definitely gonna pick this one up eventually, also I'm currently working on a few projects, well at least when I get into a bigger place I'm just thinking them out right now but one will be either the Superstructure of the uss flagg or a scratch-built one on a custom warship haul hybrid so to speak it will be one part aircraft carrier one part battleship one part amphibious assault ship and one part guided-missile Cruiser and instead of just being regular GI Joe or Cobra it will be a fictional polish navy ship because of my polish heritage and my love of polish history and culture and I plan on writing War novels to give backstory to my customs and eventually my action figure line and my novels will mostly be based on things like Gi joe of course as well as the novel and movie interpretation of the novel, Hunt for Red October and stuff like that in general. 🇵🇱
