This stamp collection was found by fellow creator Salty Stella discarded in the trash. I help her out with what kind of collection she has and the value it contains. #philately #collection #stampcollecting #dumpsterdiving

Yeah, the first thing anyone should know is that if a stamp collection simply falls into your lap or is found.....it is worthless. Just like you will rarely, if ever, come across and simply find a roll of 100 dollar bills, you will never simply "find" a valuable stamp collection.

What I take from this is, no finding this won't make you a millionaire, but it's still 25% better than finding a $20 bill on the ground, so still not a bad find.

even if the collection is $20, why on earth did the person chuck it in the dumpster...shame on him.

Hey, have you ever seen the movie charade with Audrey Hepburn? If so were the stamps featured in movie really valuable?

They were approximations of rare stamps worth millions today but were altered slightly for the film So... kind of

The 2c definitive series stamp is Thomas Jefferson not George Washington.

Thank you. I meant to make a comment about that mistake. I didn't realize it until after editing

ghetoo people seeing art for first time thinking its worth millions.. not getting it s a hobby and most stamps even if you have 10 thousand of them.. is worth about a few hundred bucks the most

A guy I worked with once asked me about a collection from the 40s and 50s. I told him to think of them as a whole bunch of little used cars. (He wasn't too happy about learning that they weren't the treasure he thought he had)
