Stamped Whole Cloth On The Longarm

Today we are working on a very time consuming project that will look amazing when completed. The project is a stitch out on a whole cloth that has been stamped with a elaborate design, we take extra care to ensure that the stitch out matches the stamp as close as possible.

The very first quilt I ever did on my long arm was one of these. I freehanded it. Following the lines was good muscle memory practice and once washed it turned out beautiful. After the blu lines are gone you cannot tell if you bobbled a bit. Freehanding with the aid of a few rulers is much faster.

Beautiful work. I have a hand pieced lone star quilt with a white background fabric. It begs to be hand quilted but I'm afraid I'll get dirty in the process. If wear gloves how many times will I stitch it to the quilt? 😸

Marlene O I have hand stitched many white quilts. Always always wash your hands before you start and never eat or drink while stitching. You will be fine. If quilting for long periods of time wash periodically to remove oils from your hands. Never wear lotions while you’re stitching.
