Stamps Can Make Plain Concrete Look Like Masonry

These moulds make ugly looking concrete look like masonry design. Concrete stamping is a method of decorating concrete, replicating the look of bricks, tiles, and slates, and at a lower cost.
The process can be applied to walls as well as floors too, making it quite versatile and quickly growing method of choice when decorating concrete.

While it may appear as separate tiles at a glance it is still a solid piece of concrete. That is a control cut to create a point for cracks to form rather than cracks randomly forming. The concrete is pretty much guaranteed to crack. Better if you can control where it does crack. You will notice the same thing in lots of garages with concrete floors.
@hostilityy
@hostilityy 6 жыл бұрын
Lol its simple engineering; they have to factor in thermal expansion and contraction. a giant slab of concrete will crack with different temperatures. look at the roads or sidewalk on streets. they all have lines. it is a MUST. this looks like an indoor floor so it puzzles me just a slight bit since indoors are climate controlled. probably curing and setting time. I never calculate this for indoors; perhaps they used some a very different concrete mixture.
@rerun3283

Lol. It's a control joint but still looks stupid because pavers don't need control joints. This it's a bunch of hideous bullshit.

Obviously naturally laying stones might be better (even more so if they are just fit/placed together without concrete so water can pass through and grass or other plants can grow in between the pieces) and I don’t like the sealant, but it’s still beautiful
