I heard this song in show back in 2004 and has stuck with me forever and Ive never known the name of it until just last night when I was watching Despicable Me and someplayed it on a sax. I got so excited I and was smart enough to look up the soundtrack an here I am now 6-7 yrs later finally

When you know the how and why the Bossa Nova came to be then you will understand.The bossa songs were the best that came out throughout the 1960s that were in the jazz family and all North American jazz artist copied the style and played the bossa nova songs;except the dixieland only artist.Sergio Mendes proved that Bossa Nova could crossover to pop as well and became a household name.

This is bizzare. The singer is so awkwardly cold (and well should be...a Brazillian holed up at a 1960's ski lodge?) and singing about a tan girl in a hot place...while Stan the jazz sax legend is stuck with geeks from the local high school in his band. For an equally bizzare scene...search for Neil Sedaka Movie and pick the first one that comes up...watch Neil the womanizer 'oil' some girl!
