Liron, I agree with you 100% Stan is a Master artist! I was blown away by his techniques I went to his websight and was glad to see he teaches what he knows. i learned more from watching his tutorials, then i ever did in art school! Unfortunately nothing was ever said about what he charges foe his paintings,or classes. .And you certianly have come along way in your paintings, and tutorials, "love" watching them!. T hree big thumbs up! ohh, one was my big toe! Anetas husband, Ken.

Thx Liron for this video on Stan Miller. I’ve watched almost all his YT videos and learned so much. He is such a great artist as well as an excellent teacher. He makes WC painting so accessible. He has become one of my favorites. A number of viewers have jumped over to his YT channel from yours.

Just wanted to thank you!!! This hobby -ist got roped into a weekly portrait group... Totally lost ... Then took your suggestion and have watched and applied stan miller's KZbin videos.... Just a wonderful foundation.... Like your videos as well...😂😂😂

Great episode 👍 I recently found Stan Miller’s KZbin channel and his tutorial series has to be the best I’ve ever seen for beginners. It’s actually amazing to watch him hold a loose piece of watercolour paper and a reference photo in one hand so he can hold it up to the camera and knock out a quick portrait study using a flat brush with the other.

Yes I learned SO MUCH from him, and it’s amazing seeing him paint like that with the paper on his wrist, matching his own skin tone. A real master and a great teacher

A great review of a superb artist, Liron.The style is much tighter than I'd personally ever want to emulate, but I always like seeing different approaches by skilled (and boy is Stan skilled!) artists. You continue to provide great variety on your channel for all of us subscribers, and I really like these showcases for other artists - as well as the painting demos, product reviews etc etc etc. All the best, Brian.

I'm so adding his channel right now! Thank you for doing this Video Liron! My favourite portrait is the last one, the skin is perfect I love hard edges vs soft! This is what I someday hope to be at a level to achieve. I love your Masters video series, I've learned so much and enjoy hearing your thoughts and comparisons. Ps. I loved the landscape, beyond loved really, the way some of it looks watercolor and soft and still shows pencil marks, versus where he adds his realism elements and uses his colors. Looking at a painting like that to me is like reading the artists story. I think you will understand exactly what I mean Liron. Great video!!

when I looked at the detailed work he did I thought it was a oil painting and then you said het did egg tempera and that made sense and egg tempera is a very detail almost oil like art form, hes a great artist and have watch lots of is videos, thanks for the video
@LironYan6 жыл бұрын
Happy to hear you are familiar with him! (: I don't know much about egg tempera, but from what I do it really seems it's meant to allow you more time to work with the paint, similar to oils.
@ianjackson58346 жыл бұрын
egg tempera as the permanent of oil but is a water based medium and in the modern day you can make it by adding egg to tube watercolour and is applied both in glasses with a bit of opaque work, have a go its a great medium

I would like to start off by saying that you cant do a good painting without a good reference and Stan has some wonderful reference photos to fall in love with.

Yes! He really helped me figure out how important that was. His lesson on choosing a good reference is very valuable 😊
