Laurel & Hardy, one of the world’s great comedy teams, set out on a variety hall tour of Britain in 1953. Diminished by age and with their golden era as the kings of Hollywood comedy now behind them, they face an uncertain future. As the charm and beauty of their performances shines through, they re-connect with their adoring fans.
The tour becomes a hit, but Stan & Ollie can’t quite shake the specter of Laurel and Hardy’s past; the long-buried ghosts, coupled with Oliver’s failing health, start to threaten their precious partnership. A portrait of the most tender and poignant of creative marriages, they are aware that they may be approaching their swan song, trying to rediscover just how much they mean to each other.

Agent Fungus When politics play a bigger part in the Oscars than the actual movies do, I usually find myself enjoying the ceremony less and less. I found that this year was actually not bad. Maybe because there wasn’t a host, there was no need for politics.

Without a doubt the best film I've seen in years - I don't cry easily but was in tears at the end. I went to see it twice and can't wait to watch it again. It's scandalous that this film isn't a contender at the Oscars. The lead actors were so believable that I forgot at times that they weren't the real Laurel and Hardy.

Tribute to two of the best loved funniest twosome to crace the Big Screen this fabulous movie is pure Stan & Ollie though not all of their stories made to this great tribute movie it was a clips at who they were and how much they meant to every fan. You know with all the new films around it's nice to watch 2 classic comic geniuses from the old school brought back in tribute just think this movie should get a awarded for this? We know Stan received a Oscar a honorary one for his work in comedy movies which he deserved he also deducted to his friend Ollie and he and Ollie alongside this film should have a an special award together it is time to remember all those silent movie stars in a special way they all past on but still really loved by millions and tributes to all So let's give the Stan & Ollie movie a Oscar or 2? A celebration of golden age comedy it time to reflect on them?
