To celebrate what I think is THE best Aotearoa/NZ film this year and just one brilliant film MURU - I wanted to share this footage from the earlier film Called Mt.Zion from The Muru Director Mr Te Arepa Kahi.
Released in 2013- Mt. Zion I play the lead singer of a band called Small Axe dreaming of seeing Bob Marley LIVE. I had the privilege of working with Te Arepa in this film Mt.Zion. Here we are as band Small Axe in the film Mt. Zion.
I am so thrilled T’s latest film Muru is number one at NZ Box Office and privileged my my music is in the film.

Hi Stan, I followed you since 2009, I lived in NZ at that time with my 9 years old daughter Beverly, you were my favourite superstar and you won Australian idol. When Your first album came out, I bought 5 for my family in Tahiti, since they know you and how talented you are until today. We went back in Tahiti in 2012 but New Zealand will always be in my heart, when I listen your 2009 album it brings back so much good memories of NZ, thank you Stan for your amazing voice and songs, God bless you and your family 💗🙏🏻

When I was a kid I used to think Stan Walker was just another generic idol singer pretty boy mozzie. Idk why? Maybe it was cause I didnt like the songs he sings or I was just a hater? Than when I seen this movie I was blown away by his talent. Man is gifted. Then i delved deeper and watched his docos etc. and talked to other Kiwis who have either met him or know him. He's legit one of the best to come out if NZ. I don't know if you read these comments Stan but I just wanted to say sorry and thank you at the same time, if this makes sense? Whenever anybody asks me what good nz music is, i point them your way. Proud of you ❤

I think its really great that you have gone back to stan's early days on Australia ln idol because ive seen a lot of videos where people comment on stans most recent stuff like "ultralight beam" and "i am"❤️ which i love too. But the early stuff is just amazing and its great to revisit these performances. I also love his work on the New Zealand movie, "Mt Zion". He carries that beautiful soul voice throughout.
