When my son told me he was gay (honestly it was no surprise) I said that the most important thing is that he is happy. His idea of happiness isn’t the one I saw for him when I held him for the first time as a newborn, but it’s HIS happiness and that should be a parent’s ultimate wish for their children.

@@SlimeDerp999being gay isn’t even in the top ten sins, if it were, it would be part of the Ten Commandments given straight from God to Moses. It’s along the line of the other prohibitions in Leviticus, like not eating bacon or not wearing a polyblend shirt. If you’ve ever cooked a meal on a Sunday or yelled at a parent, you’ve committed a far bigger sin, so from that point of view, you can in fact accept and love your child.

As a gay guy, I've always gotten along with lesbians -- but almost every lesbian I've spent significant time with has been older and super butch. Some of these women have senses of humor that would make a sailor blush, and it's amazing.

As an older gay I really was surprised after my partner passed and started to dabble in dating again. Just how many younger guys have a thing for older guys. I never even tried to date younger guys but I would regularly get hit up or DM on sites by them. I think they like the stability of us more than anything else. Gay dating can be crazy. Oh, by they way I ended up getting married to a younger guy 19 years difference.

Its a new taboo among the new generation. The whole “daddy” thing is a fad because, if you notice, more young men are flamboyant bottoms than tops. They seek older for not only the “daddy” connection, but also because they have less to choose from among their own age group. They think old men are all seeking boy butts for random sex, and i personally find it disgusting. Im glad you dont acknowledge them with any interest. We need more of our age group mingling with each other, or at least more mature mindsets

It was great seeing Calvin again. I don't get back to the channel much but there is just something about him. He seems like such a geniunely nice guy. Honestly, I would have loved to have had a straight guy friend like him when I was young. Someone I could talk to and open up with like that. He is bit of a cuddly goof that masks his serious side that is so clearly there. I love that he tries to be respectful and funny at the same time. In all seriousness, it might have been hard to be friends with him without dealing with some crush issues but sometimes that is part of navigating straight/gay friendship. He is just so dang likeable.

Calvin seems to have matured since I've last seen him on video. It was like seeing a different part of him. I'm glad the 2 of you are still close friends. I was worried that Chris was getting too busy with his life, not his fault, it's business, and didn't have time to spend in his hometown. Weird, but I always worried about Calvin finding his spot in life. I always felt he was searching for something, but never sure what avenue to take. He's such a nice guy, with a great personality. I hope he doesn't just settle for whatever, and takes time to make his best choices. He deserves it.

I lived in San Francisco throughout the 70s. There was a clear division between gay men and lesbians. Nobody wanted to talk about it. But also as a gay man I went into a leather bar dressed as a candy cane and did I ever get a cold reception. It was Christmas, anyway if I gone into it in my normal Castro Clone outfit, I still would have gotten a chilly welcome. I also went to Lesbian bar with a lesbian friend and felt the chill. Things were changing in the late 70s thanks to Harvey Milk starting his political career. The bridges between gay men and women were starting to change. Gay people all have the same challenges of discriminations within their population just as straights do. Until we all support human beings as one, there will unfortunately be a struggle. Live and let live with kindness and respect for each other.
