I don't know how long the Zacme line has been out, but everytime I see Zacme demo, they always leave a very good impression. Absolutely stunning. Thanks again Amy and Eric. Another fantastic video. 💯😋🥳

Thank you for watching. Zacme products sound good. We haven't tried to mix anything crazy in any of our mixers that would burn them out, so I can't vouch for durability. But they seem to run smoothly.
@AmyLearnsToCook7 ай бұрын
So far it has been a really nice mixer. It is tough because it hasn't been on the market long so it is not time tested. But..so far so good.
@chineeboy187 ай бұрын
@@AmyLearnsToCookthe built of the Zacme looks solid. The DC motor seems to handle tough jobs easily. It seems it will last a very long time as long as it is taken care of.

The [approx] difference (running at Speed 10) between the 71db reading of the Zacme vs. the 88db reading from the GE is about *15 times LOUDER*-! It's a lot. Thanks for doing this test.
@EricLearnstoCook7 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching. Most people don't understand how sound pressure measurements work. It's not a simple 20% louder. It's like 400% or more. That's crazy.
@AmyLearnsToCook7 ай бұрын
Yeah, it is a lot louder. It runs a lot smoother too. The GE tho is a beast of a mixer. I am anxious to try it out.
@LilybethII7 ай бұрын
Stand mixers tend to get a lot louder with time. It's got something to do with the gear grease getting old and the gears grinding. My mixer is almost 8 years old and it sounds like a jet engine on speed 10 and I remember it being SIGNIFICANTLY quieter in the beginning.
@chevyguy69617 ай бұрын
I replaced the grease in my Kitchenaid K5-A with synthetic food grade grease. No more oil leakage due to separation and my mixer runs much quieter.
@perniciouspete49865 ай бұрын
@@chevyguy6961 Yes! The grease that KitchenAid uses in their mixers is awful. It's cheap, cheap, cheap, it melts at a fairly low temperature, and it slides down off the gears if the mixer sits very long without being used.

Thank you Amy & Eric, this was very helpful. After many years of owning only a Kitchen Aid hand held 5 speed mixer, I am considering purchasing a stand mixer again. My hands have arthritis plus gluten affects the arthritis in my knees particularly, so I am cooking with alternative flours. There is not much kneeding in gluten free bread but a stand mixer would be necessary for me. I have watched many, many of your stand mixer tests & I am leaning to the Zacme 5.5qt machine. I cook mainly for myself now. I had never heard of this brand until I watched your review. Your scientific sound test confirms to me that if I purchase a stand mixer, it will be a Zacme. The mixer & proofer combo machines you recently tested are tempting but I have patience & can wait for my bread to rise. I am also watching your bread machine videos. I don't like to be told I have no choices & fear there are limited bread size choices with a bread machine plus it doesn't have the versatility of a mixer. Eric & Amy thank you for all your repeated heavy lifting & hard work on this video, I hope you used ear protection. And thank you for introducing me to new products. 💜 I will be looking at a few more of your videos but I think the Zacme 5.5 qt. will be the winner.

Amy, I’m pretty sure that if I were to personally test the sound of that GE ProFile Smart Mixer against my 2021 KA Pro 600 on the highest, & I’m pretty sure they’ll be equally as loud. I know my 2020 4.5. Qt Deluxe KA would significantly be a lil quieter on Speed 10 vs this GE ProFile Smart Mixer.
@EricLearnstoCook7 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching. The KA Pro 600 was up there with the GE Profile. It's possible to add synthetic food grade grease to the gears like someone here commented on. That might help. But the brand new GE Profile was just plain noisy, so I doubt anything's gonna help it be quieter. But we still need to do our regular test to see how it runs. So that should be fun. Yes, the Classic Plus is a bit quieter. Pretty normal sound for mixers. Not too noisy.

The Bosch Universal Plus can be covered completely while the mixer is in use. Maybe being covered could muffle the sound.
@EricLearnstoCook7 ай бұрын
There might be some reduction in sound with actual food in the bowl. But we wanted to keep it simple. I'm sure if you had a big box, you could muffle the sound. High density particle board would be great for that especially with acoustic foam. But what fun is that?
@AmyLearnsToCook7 ай бұрын
The only one that was kinda annoying is the Pro 600. It has a really metal on metal sound that, at times, I feel is going to jump the rails. The Zacme and the Proline 7 are really nice to use because they are smooth and a lot quieter.

I so appreciate this video given I have significant hearing loss and loud noises are bothersome. Thank you!

Every Hobart N50 has that odd sound as Eric describes. Especially on speed 1. There is not much you can do to make it go away either. With the N50, that's par for the course.
@SashineB7 ай бұрын
To me, it's a bit annoying, that repetitive knocking sound.
@EricLearnstoCook7 ай бұрын
It's interesting to watch it on the sound meter. Had I used weighted "c" instead of "A", I don't know what frequencies that would focus on. But I think "A" covers most of the audible spectrum.
@cnnw39297 ай бұрын
@@EricLearnstoCookMost of what I hear, is that sound of some of the gears rubbing against each other on speed 1. I had Hobart work on mine, and it was perfect when they got done with it, but then issue came back. I had a prior N50, and it was exactly the same way. About 20 years ago, I could have bought a brand new Hobart HL120. I regret not taking that opportunity because that HL120 would have done everything I needed without needing the Ankarsrum and all these KitchenAids in my collection. The price of an HL120 now would be prohibitive.

The video is of you opening up a box for the latest 8 qt Kitchen aid and you mentioned that the 7 qt bowled fitted . I have the Bosch mum5 compact-stand mixer it is very quiet. I do not know why everybody is such a fan of KitchenAid. They are not made as durable as They were made in the past to be for sure.

Yep. Quality has tanked for them. I wouldn’t buy a new one for sure. There’s much better alternatives now. Really tired of this planned obsolescence. We consumers need to start making a stand. It’s bad for consumers and the environment, but they only care about stockholders anymore. :(
@TheFrugalMombot6 ай бұрын
No Ankarsrum comparison? You don’t consider it to be the quietest you have? I thought you had one or did you just review it? I ask, because that’s how I found your channel, well that and the dough mixer reviews. I’d love a comparison of the higher end models like the Ankarsrum, Bosch, and I guess the Zacme. I’d never heard of it before - not sure the price point? The Wolf is expensive though, isn’t it? Also, thank you for risking your ears to spare ours. As an autistic cook, sound is a definite issue for me and I’m sure others like me, as we tend to be extra sensitive to sounds.
