Sir, I grew up like that. To my parents, I couldn't do anything right. I wasn't born perfect, so I was beaten, cursed at, treated like trash. Then, because I didn't know how to live a good life and I didn't have that in me, this pattern kept repeating. So, now, my mind is 24/7 telling me how my parents were actually right, I'm a loser, I can't keep anything good that comes to me, etc. It's just playing and playing. It never stops. It keeps telling me I'm going to dying of brain cancer because I have a headache lmao. Also, I've been homeless, I don't have stable work and I'm just depressed, so my mind won't stop bashing me.... I wish it'd stop.

This might be true, cause the world is run by narcissists who lack this inner critic. it's a tool that we should not overuse, but it is still a useful tool so you don't end up being a selfish person who lack empathy and care for others.
