Hi Nik.. I have an e-commerce store. Some videos I watched mention that I should not run PMAX campaigns unless I have had 30 conversions in the last 30 days via other google campaigns like shopping campaigns and search campaigns because google doesn’t have any data to optimize on if I run PMAX campaigns without conversion..I am seriously considering running PMAX campaigns because I haven’t had any sales after spending $500 on shopping campaigns, my conversions tracking is setup correctly.. I sell jewelry gifts that come with a meaningful message card and metal wall art as housewarming gifts..I would appreciate your response, thanks!

The reason people recommend that is technically yes pmax campaigns need data to find your customer and what search terms, devices, locations etc work for your products. It needs conversions to get that data. I start quite frequently from scratch and it often works just fine. Sometimes standard shopping outperforms. I would say that for something like Jewellery I actually find standard shopping often works better but that’s just my experience. The reason for that is it’s often very competitive. I’d say as a starting point lower your bids. You could give pmax a try. Lower your daily budget as well and improve your titles.

@@NikArmenis thanks Nik. One last question - I have set up a shopping campaign for 6 metal wall art products that I also sell as housewarming gifts on my store. But even with maximize clicks and $160/say budget, I have hardly got any impressions in the last 7 days. May I please know what could be the reason the shopping campaign doesn’t get any impression? All my titles and descriptions for these 6 products are optimized and I don’t have any errors in google merchant center for any of these products so I am totally confused why they aren’t getting any sales, I would really appreciate your insights on this situations. Thanks!

Hi Nik, I currently have a standard shopping campaign running for my e-commerce jewelry gifts store for all products at a $30/day budget sinxe 1 week, have got only 1 sale so far. In this case, should I turn this shopping campaign off and set up a PMAX feed only campaign with all products at $50/day budget? Or should I keep both canpaigns Actjve and let it run such that Shopping campaign is running at a $30/day budget and my PMAX campaign is also Active and running at a $50/day budget? I would appreciate your advice, thanks!

Hello again, I recently had this come up with a group coaching student who did a 1 on 1. Best bet is to just leave the standard shopping run. Hope this helps

How does Pmax compare to Standard Shopping in terms of scalability? Also, what's your take on "feed only" Pmax campaign? Thanks ☺
@NikArmenis5 ай бұрын
Both can be scaled - it's just a slightly different way to do it. Feed only are good, but they aren't really feed only anymore. There are impressions etc that come from other areas. But that said, most pmax campaigns are mainly shopping. Best bet is to use Mike Rhodes script.

Have you tried running a PMAX new customer acquisition campaign? If so, how have your results been?
@NikArmenis5 ай бұрын
Yes - i'm doing a lot of experimenting with it at the moment. You need to increase the bid value by quite a bit to force it to find new customers. I recommend a minimum of 30% and ideally 50%. Sometimes it can impact ROAS - but that makes sense since it is a colder customer. Doing this though will allow it to find more search terms and customers that convert. So longer term it's a good move.
