1:44 I love the "blink-and-you-miss-it" joke here where he turns to see the door close, thinks he's on the other side of it, starts mumbling angrily to himself, then looks up and realizes he's still in the office. XD

As over the top and silly as Stanley Spadowski was meant to be, I found there was a real, genuine heart and sweetness to the character. Yes he was funny, but you also really wanted to root for the guy. Even the "life is like a mop" speech was inspiring in its own unique way.

There’s a bit of poetic justice in that R.J. Fletcher being such a hot-headed jerk and firing Stanley is what ultimately cost him his own job.

In his run of JIMMY OLSEN, Jack Kirby modelled "Morgan Edge" on actor Kevin McCarthy. In "UHF", McCarthy's "R.J. Fletcher" is essentialy a parody of "Morgan Edge". Coincidence, or really fitting?

Although we know that Stanley's old mop is his dignity and was even his best friend since he was eight years old, what else is there on why Stanley's old mop is so important to him? Was Stanley's old mop the main thing that was left of his family, had reminded him of someone special from his family, or something?

@carly84357 жыл бұрын
Channeleven Okay, are you delusional, or do you just live in a bubble? The far left is not the only group that even slightly dislikes Trump, and even among those who overall like him and voted for him (here's a hint: I'm included in that group), people are capable of, you know, having a sense of humor and making and laughing at jokes. Get your head out of your goddamn ass.
@Channeleven23457897 жыл бұрын
True, but the far left are the most vocal, and they tend to make their voices heard harder than any other person who makes fun of Trump. Don't be so salty.
