This man transcends generations, I'm in my late 30's, my children love his music. I first see him live when I was 19 at Hammersmith Apollo. My dad grew up on King's Rd with The Clash, Sex Pistols etc The Jam/Paul Weller have stayed the test of time. His lyrics, melodies, are timeless - proof is in the pudding 3 generations of my family will testify to that. This song especially (from his solo stuff) means so much to me. Anyway I can talk shite all day, cheers guys 🤘🏼

I've been listening to this song for years. TWENTY-SIX of them! I remember feeling like I was trapped in my life and I was always looking for freedom and I felt like the lyrics of this song summed up this feeling. The song was, kind of, compassionate. Listening to "Wild Wood" this evening, with things in my life becoming clearer, I feel like I'm finally coming out of the confusion. Thank you Mr Weller for sympathising with me through your song.
