Two supercells developed near Perham, Minnesota on August 3, 2024 and moved south-southeast during the evening. I was on the easternmost storm initially, and then I went to the western storm, where it suddenly produced a tornado in Melrose. The tornado was wrapped in rain, so it is nearly impossible to see it in video, but the mesocyclonic rotation in the storm was obvious. I geolocated damage pictures on Facebook and calculated where the tornado would most likely be in my video. Indeed, there is rapid rotational motion there, but I had to really bump up the contrast and speed to see it.
