Herbie is the best car friends that anyone can have. I bet Dean was the happiest person when he met Herbie. I saw Herbie in the Hollywood Star Cars Museum in Gatlinburg and I agree with Tennessee when he said that Herbie was a cute little fella. I can't get enough of that lovable little '63 Bug. One day I'm hoping to get a beetle and make my own Herbie. Brian Uiga was right, you can find one for $10,000 but I prefer a Super Beetle cause they're easier to find, if you have $8,000. Herbie and Jim were the best pair of friends I've seen in TV history. When I get a Herbie, I'll put a license plate, or find a plate, that says Douglas so people can know who Herbie's owner is. The things I'll do with Herbie is: take him on a road trip, car shows, homecoming parades, and maybe a bit of racing. I already bought Herbie a key chain with his name on it from the ID Tags machine in Walmart, the best $5 spent. All I have to do is get Herbie and I won't have to deal with my no friend problem.

Herbie WAS my childhood. My parents bought the first four movies as a box set when I was 4 or 5, and Fully Loaded not long after that. I had all kinds of toys: Johnny Lightning cars, pullback cars, my sister had an RC Herbie that I really wanted, and even a 1/18 replica of Herbie from the first movie which I loved, and was probably not the best thing to give to a 6 year old. Needless to say, he’s in sorry shape. I’m looking for a replacement now, but I still love him!

Christine? Herbie and Christine are polar opposites (depending on if we’re going with book Christine or movie Christine. I choose movie Christine).
