While everybody has their own prefered control setup, one thing I'd recommend considering is if you NEED access to that function without moving your hand. Since there's only so many buttons, I'd tend to put stuff like switching between lead and lag pips or even landing gear on the base of the stick. You're not likely to use either of those in the middle of combat and might want that button for something else.

Not very far off from my Binding setup on my 16000M setup. Main difference being is I don't have Eject bound anywhere on my stick or throttle. I have a Derek Spears Designs P1 button box, so Eject live on the Big Red button on that. Link to the P1 if interested: derekspearedesigns.com/p1p2.html

Hi, thanks for great setup! ...what are you using for look around in craft or to switch between views?? Are you flying only in 1st person or 3rd too (landing, precise moving near ground...)?

@@TFCSHQ ...and what about the button switching lead/lag pip? Why it has to be on one of the main/important stick buttons? Are you switching the modes so often? I thought the most used is lag, cause you directly watch the ship/damage areas when shooting it, not skipping focus on ship-pip-ship... like in the lead case. ...of course, if the lead pip is set by the game as a default each time you jump the cockpit and you need to switch it or quickly check if its on lag, that makes a lot of sense ;)

@@biafid0rka You can set in the gameplay settings for it to always start on one or the other. However, yea, you switch based on a few things. If I'm using auto gimbal I want a LTI not a LAG. If I'm having to constantly use high deflection on a target you want a LTI because you cant actually see the target so theres no way to aim with a LAG. However when fighting something larger and slower a LAG is better in most cases because you can see exactly where your shots will land. If high deflection wasn't a problem I'd probably always use a LAG. However simply because you cant always see the target in every situation LTI is still needed. LTI is much easier to use. LAG is more of a skill thing you'd want to use but cant always rely on. So theres also that to consider. Less brainpower is put into using a LTI.

@@TFCSHQ just done your settings on Thrustm. throttle. Why do you bind the cruise control? Isnt it the same as you move the throttle to some speed and leave it there?

hi guys, ive just bought the game 3.15 and many of the speccs have now other names or are simply not there like "Acquire missle lock (tap) and Cylce countermeasure ammo". am i doing anything wrong?

No, we need to update the video, this info is old. Those binds are now in the "vehicles - missiles" and "vehicles - shields and countermeasures" categories.

This Video is still Valid for 3.12. One caveat however. They redid the UI under Controls Tab for Inversion Settings. On the Controls Tab, make sure you're on Joystick/HOTAS 2 page for inverting the Throttle. Set both Flight > Flight Movement > Flight Strafe Forward and Flight > Flight Movement > Flight Strafe Backward to YES assuming you mapped Throttle Forward to Z-Axis(Input 2) under Keybindings. Also Speed Limiter(Absolute) now Shows up as "Slider 1(Input 2)" in 3.12

ok having throttle issue, I cant get throttle off when I pull in back it just matches the limiter. Help? lol

Things to check: Cruise control is off. Make sure your throttle is bound to "Throttle forward" NOT "Throttle forward/backwards" If you push your throttle forward do you stop? If so invert your throttle under controls. ( See 7:51 in the video)

Yeah the Thrustmaster TWCS HOTAS is currently not working as the profile wont save and is reset every time the game saves (3.13 build)

How do you change the throttle so that 0 is all the way back instead of in the center?

Make sure you're binding your throttle to "Strafe forward". Not "Strafe forward/back" or "Strafe backwards" Both of those should be unbound.

@@mprgan613 You're using the FCS throttle correct? If you're using a different controller, and the wheel isn't an axis, you'd need to bind it to "speed limiter increase" and "speed limiter decrease" instead. Feel free to hop in the discord too for more timely responses.
