Congrats to the winner! The Serenity is why my Kickstarter is a Freelancer and why I jumped on getting the Starlancer MAX when it came out. The MAX is even more a Firefly than the Freelancer. And my Kickstarter ship has been a Freelancer MIS since the variants were introduced. My son started playing SC with me just after he turned 6. He fell in love with my Scarlet and Woodgrain 325a, my second Kickstarter-era ship. I didn't need two of those Kickstarter-era game packages, so I gifted him mine and rebought mine standalone. He's 10 now and we re-did the customization on it. It's Ultramarine and Carbon. Still fantastic-looking but now _his._ He's also had an Invictus Blue and Gold 125a that just got upgraded to the Nocturne Intrepid. And his main ship, almost entirely done with his own money, is his Corsair. Though, if the Starlancer MAX gets a price bump, he might upgrade.

I wish my son could play SC with me but therefor he needs a much better computer.

My son has the benefit of having geek parents. My PC is our main entertainment center and my wife is a photographer. So, as we upgrade, _his_ PC gets upgraded. He can't run it as well as we can, but we can tweak it for performance over visuals. Or he just steals his mom's PC when she's not using it. 🤣

@@Storm-Cleaver :) We are poor Artists and my wife is using a mac. So: There is no PC left for our son (only a rather old laptop good enough for minecraft). But we will find a solution. I need a wingman :D

Yeah, we're all PC users, so my son gets double the hand-me-downs. He's lucky my wife had grown up on PCs and didn't switch to digital photography before they were viable for artists. Now he's better at Blender than either of us ever were. Need to put him to work cleaning up some STLs so we can start 3D printing our fleet. 🤣
