Quite a large system. It takes about 8,5 hours to travel from Judecca to Pinecone with current quantumtravel speed. That is with an aurora so i presume it will go even slower with larger ships.

Seriously? Why do you people troll all the time? Do you really think 1.8 million accounts over about 1.4 million backers are the type to just say, here take my money I have no use for it? Get a clue. I can tell you, once 3.0 hits live you will be eating those words. We have said all along that 2.6 was a basic sandbox showing some of the very basic tech and graphics fidelity. Actually a solar flare and a CME are two different things. Use a Cannon blast as an example. The fire or blast from a cannon is the flare, the ball or ammo round is the CME. You can have a flare without a CME but you cannot have a CME without a flare.

Ellis sounds like an amazing adventure for a Endeavour, but when you've got Carrack to compare any long distance ships to, you have to wonder if pretty sights outweigh the Carrack's more utility options for a quarter the price.

sooo... when can we roughly get 3.0? It always feels so close, then something happens. I understand you guys want to make this a HUGE deal, and feel properly polished, but I'm legit getting to the point in life that I, and possibly others, may simply not have the time to play this game. Just as some background info, I started following this games production in the beginning of high school. I'm now a Sr.Tech at an aircraft maintenance company. I would never rush a game, otherwise you end up looking like MOST of EA's games. And I understand the time and devotion you all are putting into this game, and I DO appreciate it. But for crying out loud, I may seriously be done with gaming, and with a family by the time the first star system is put into place.

The gas giant Walleye ....has orbital refineries? I don't see how a gas giant can have a solid surface that can be landed on let alone could be used for refinement without purely autonomous systems. None of the gas giants we've ever studied empirically have a cool crust and if Walleye is low density that biases for it also having only a fluid core and no landable surface.
