There are certainly server delays when traversing in quantum travel. However, if your rig is intel based 12+ gen, the micro-stutter might be caused by the e-cores. I use process lasso to restrict star citizen to only p cores, which fixed the micro-stutters.

I don't play Star Citizen often because my PC doesn't have the optimal performance to run it but man, that vibe you get when you land on Lorville or even on a lost planet and just walk around, listen to the sounds of nature and the music in the background... @@GYGOtv servers are really bad performance wise. I think that’s because of the recovery system. So no server can really crash. So you can’t get a „fresh“ server. But that’s just my guess why it’s so bad

Space Penguin (Avenger Titan) is indeed the best starter ship, it's a bit more expensive pledge these days due reasons but I agree it's definitely worth it.

Since the newest update (alpha 3.23) there are 2 Major Flight Modes with sub-modes. The first is SCM Mode where you are slower, have your guns and shields The second is NAV Mode where you have no shields and weapons but you are faster. With holding B (default key bind) you switch between SCM and NAV mode instead of just turning on the quantum drive like it used to. With mouse wheel click (default key bind) you can switch trough the sub modes (of SCM and NAV) - This is usefull if you want to be fast (NAV mode) but don't want to see the quantum jump markers on your screen you can switch from the default NAV QTM to NAV FLIGHT - or in SCM you can switch from guns to missiles for example a bit complex but i hope this helps

I wonder if we'll ever get proper telemetry API for SC flight / driving. I think they are a long way from VR for FPS, but not too much effort for them to get cockpit/seated VR. FPS locomotion just has so many pitfalls, specially in an MMO with permadeath - it's always going to be at a disadvantage to Mouse/Keyboard.

Wow, another eye-opening vid O_O I got extremely sucked into Star Citzen for about 6 months a couple years ago. Amazing experience whenever I rolled a good server instance and when the bugs I encountered weren't showstoppers. I had no idea it was compatible with SRS..........this is another nudge in the direction of me wanting to pursue mounting my Virpil mousepad mount to my DOF Reality H3 using a QR4Rigs plate (so I can swap my Virpil control panel out for it when needed).

Something worth trying is faked vr via virtual desktop (if you have quest 3) with locked head tracking (so the screen follows your view) and then on top of that use opentrack to convert the vr head position into trackir data that then can make the character head move 1:1 with your head. It's 2d still but with a good wide field of view, it's still very immersive :) I've had bugs with it and frame rate but when it does work it's cool. Not a replacement for VR but not bad for now!

Star Citizen was for me visually stunning! and when i got on the train in one city to go from the Startport to the City Centre i was stunned at how Futuristically realistic it looked i spent nearly an hour just riding the train back and forth looking out the window of the train while in transit it looked so real. I have the same rhino stick as you have. Though in star citizen I use a virpil omnithrottle left hand, and a realsimulator force senstive base + warthog grip for right hand.

Great set up my man. I've been playing SC for countless years. That server didn't look too stable but when you get a good one it's one of the best games I've played. I just bought the Game Touch and used it, seems way better than game glass in the fact that its way easier to load the screens from one to another. A little more responsive I guess. Direct mapping of joystick seems subpar, or at least it would for a FLIGHT sim because the forces you actually feel and experience are totally different from what you are inputting. That said I've never stopped to actually think about what you would feel in a spaceship, so maybe it is a better correlation than I realize.

Yea, it's not ideal. However, without telemetry for feedback, it's the best I could do. It actually works pretty good all things considered, Buttkickers, harness with tension and then motion, it's pretty good 😁. Thanks for watching and the comments mate.

Believe it or not, the latest update uses a lot more memory than it used to. Performance really suffers unless you have at least 64GB RAM. You should also have an SSD. The game plays a lot better when you have those two items.

I use Game Touch controller, I like it better over Game Glass bcs it doesnt use the cloud like GG, but works over your LAN (wireless router) so the response is fast compared to GG.

If I understood well, this is tied to the joystick input? As for now star citizen has no telemetry. Would be great for star citizen to have telemetry to be able to use force feedback devices (sticks but also chairs).

Yea that's correct mate. It's as good as we can get it until they add telemetry. Buttkickers also help fill in the cracks in immersion as well.

Holy mother of…. Wow! How much did this stuff cost? Where do I buy this?? Take my money! Also - you’re flying in “coupled” mode, where the ship is heavily auto-compensated on turns and in atmosphere. Try flying in “decoupled” mode for the best experience. I believe default keybind for it is either C or LAlt+C. And you also want to turn off GSafe, this one you need to bind manually under Flight -> Movement.

Mate I'm actually doing a video soon on budget builds, how much my exact set-up costs and parts required, plus what do you need first just to get up and running. If you just want to do say flight, plus motion, 7-8k, my full set-up including PC, around 25-28k. Trakracer is my rig, Eracing labs is my motion system as a starting point.

Is there a toby tracker somewhere? I can't see TrackIR lights yet your head tracking appears to be on. :) are you using it just for headtracking, without eye tracking?

Yea mate, it's mounted to the top of my wheel base, I'm just using headtracking as large monitors over, I think, 32" won't work well if at all with the eye function.

​@Spelljammer1 mate I personally think it's brilliant, headtracking works great, and I honestly don't notice any lag. I might actually do a video from behind showing its one to one response rate that I'm feeling. I also love that it works really well in low light, my cockpit is not normally that illuminated, I only do it for these videos. With the room all blacked out, the Tobii 5 functioning, man.... I know, It is the first of a line up of Star Citizen videos to come. A large portion of the flying is in quantum flight which is pretty boring for the viewers so I speed that up. I'll work on more flying in the next one 😁

Technically No Man's Sky is indeed a space sim; space sim is just a genre of any game set in space with at least some elements of psuedo-realism (like survival mechanics). I think a lot of people seem to mistaken the word "sim" to mean "realistic", but that's not true. Unfortunately, some think that Star Citizen is being made as a combat action flight/physics sim, but the reality is that they're building a LIFE sim as per the words of the CEO himself (stating they're building a life sim MMO in a scifi universe). I say unfortunately because it's created some division in the community with people bickering over what they think the game should be, which I always thought was ridiculous because like, um....maybe listen to the actual CEO of the game and what he says the game is?

Very valid point mate and they really are pumping out the updates so my comments are probably not completely accurate now days. Only issue I personally have with Noman Sky is art direction, to cartoonie for me. Ship physics are not realistic. I guess I'm wanting a space sim closer to reality.

Mate I'm actually doing a video soon on budget builds, how much my exact set-up costs and parts required, plus what do you need first just to get up and running. If you just want to do say flight, plus motion, 7-8k, my full set-up including PC, around 25-28k.

Would love to see you do some combat or racing and really put it through it's paces, too! A lot of people have really hated all the extra cockpit shaking the devs added in 3.23 but if there was a way to tie that simulated wobble into your rig, that would actually be quite fun.

Yea, it's far from perfect. However, for me, it's a fantastic experience for what I'm after in a game. I guess that was the premise of the video. Show the game in my simrig, play it for exploration, and dont sink ttoomuch real money into it, yet. There are lots of glitches and bugs, that's for sure, I love the exploration though 😁

A beta is a feature complete game in polishing phase Like Squadron42 is in now. Star Citizen is far from feature complete and as such is still in Alpha. Once feature complete (even if it takes 100 years), it will then enter its beta (polishing) phase. Alpha = not feature complete Beta = feature complete but now in polishing These terminologies are not there for show

Sorry you feel that way mate, although I understand peoples frustration with the deadlines constantly changing. I guess my hope with the video is to show people that you do not have to spend a lot of money to enjoy what there is already in the game. Especially if you are more into exploration and adventure like I am. To me, there is enough to explore to justify my $80 spent to play it so far. I'm personally having a great time exploring however, don't jump into this game thinking it's bug free, complete or without some major issues. Thanks for watching.
