When I saw your first Ina Ray Hutton short upload, I was thinking how much I love her version of Stardust! And an hour later, here you are, posting it! Epic. Thankyou!! Ina was destined for great success by having the same manager that Cab Calloway had. And Duke Ellington too. He was Irving Mills. A few years later after these entrancing '30s shorts were made, Ina starred in her first big feature film called, "Ever Since Venus", leading an all male orchestra in the swing era. She was very good in it, and oh, so attractive and glamorous! In the 1950's she even starred in her own TV show, of which I'm thrilled to have a copy of her first episode. Back when everything was in glorious black and white! Just wish she had made more movies! Thankyou Peter for this classic Hutton gem!

Thank you so much for posting/sharing this one Peter! I do believe that fine guitarist, who is so musically present in this recording/performance, is Marion Gange. Gange was one of the few women guitar players to gain some nationwide notoriety in the 1940s.

Rather an incongruous pairing ... but still, marvelous.
