You can collide with Peppy's ship when he quoted "Shoot the rocks!" However you cannot collide with neither Falco's nor Slippy's ship because they are too far of the range. 🚢.

That boss/bio weapon is easy to take out by just quickly shooting at it's arms and then his head. Is it any tougher or not than the Balrog from Lord Of The Ring The Fellowship Of The Ring?
