Star Fox Restored - Course Clear (Band)

The Band version of the Course Clear theme from Star Fox, restored to full CD Quality, using the original source quality synth and sample sources!
This restore was done by my good friend, BlastoiseVeteran! Blasty has long since been a spectator in our project Discord, giving feedback when they possibly can, and one day, they decided they wanted to give restorations a shot, and decided to chose Star Fox as the game they wanted to work on. Within relatively quick time, Blasty got a pretty good hang of things, and has managed to produce restorations that multiple members of the team are happy with! I'm very happy to have a good friend of mine contributing to the channel, and hope you all enjoy the work they intend on putting into Star Fox!

What hardware or VSTs would be needed to recreate these synths?

@@AndresJRdz According to the VGM spreadsheet, the hardware used was a Roland D-70 and Yamaha TG-77 along with samples library CDs Universe of Sounds Vol. 2 and Roland L-CD1. As for how to emulate these, that's where things get tricky. I think an older version of Kontakt can handle those sample CDs since I believe they are in a proprietary format. An emulation of the Roland D-70 currently does not exist but there are some sample packs and SF2s floating around online plus most of Roland's ROMpler sounds were shared amongst all their 90s and even 2000s gear like the Sound Canvas, JD and even JV/XV series. Yamaha TG-77 also does not have an emulation VST of any kind but I have seen one person working on making one although it isn't 1:1 and isn't even out yet. Hope this information helps.

I was in the Star Fox OST vortex because of this the other night and it's always cool finding someone who shows "Hey, this song is actually plagiarizing this song from popular culture." In this case, it was a section of the Viper dogfight from Top Gun being a huge component of the Corneria boss theme. But I'd have never known! What does that have to do with this song? Nothing! Just paying the plagiarism forward because I forgot who even posted that observation but damn was it cool. Love this OST!
