Not sure Walters or Banfield are playing if everyone is fit. I think O'Driscoll would be in over Banners and Erasmus needs to start getting games probably over Sonny.

Can't wait to see what The Dockers can do in 2025. They have all they need to have a shot at finals. Last years heart wrenching miss will definitely drive them this year, as long as they can keep the playing list healthy and no major damage but the back end of the season they can do it. Feeling optimistic about Fremantle this year.

To say " he's taken a bit longer to develp" when talking about Amiss, who kicked 41 goals as a 19 year old and focal key forward in an incredibly young and inexperienced line, maybe because he lost some confidence in 24' but still managed 36 goals amongst more behinds. Lol.

That is an exciting forward line for sure. But you'd want Bolton and Switowski to have more midfield and on wing. Frederick could be wing too. I think the side needs to roll the dice more often with positions. When Jackson is in the ruck (when Darcy is injured) then Freo need to bring other mid tall forwards in and really expose them to game time.

Freo often lose the matches that they really need to win. They lack hardness. Also, they go with the same guys in the positions, including the midfield. They have talented guys on the bench and playing purely WAFL. But if Brayshaw and Serong go down they will be stuffed, as they haven't rotated players in different positions in their team and brought guys in and out of WAFL. Instead if you're Brodie Erasmus and formerly Blakely then you play only WAFL. If guys get injured they will need to move fringe guys into major midfield roles. The team has depth in players, but those guys haven't got the experience and aren't ready to play and do important roles. Lack of exposure for these guys apart from playing bench and half forward. they're doing the same down back and up forward and there is staleness there. Guys in the WAFL haven't been given time at league level in important roles, so they are ready to step up.

Define hardness? You mean injuries at the wrong time that just screws up their chemistry and led them to lose 4 games in a row?

Bailey Banfield is not the wing its nathan o Driscoll! He has proven himself. Fyfe, walters and O'Meara are not the ones. Gotra have Erasmus, probably will Brodie, sam sturt, also josh draper. Wagner is alright depth.

Banfield is more of a half forward. I'd be bringing in some other players into that role and actually develop players. If Brayshaw and Serong get injured, then I can't see how the team can compensation. Game over. Instead Serong and Brayshaw should spend games up forward or on bench and challenge guys to step up into their roles. But it never happens.

They just got Bolton and Young is developing and arguably offers more particular from a kicking point of view.

@@sportydude9337 I just reckon guys like Erasmus and Brodie need to be given game time and there needs to be better planning around how they'll manage if there are injuries to key players. Can guys play multiple roles and develop. I'm not a Docker supporter, but that's from an outsider looking in. I'd even have Switowski running through the middle at times etc..

@@sportydude9337 Because I love footy and I do see the Dockers play at Optus Stadium. Its clear they rely too much on Brayshaw and Serong. Certainly Young and Bolton now help. Seeing both Eagles and Dockers every week I can make lots of interesting observations about both teams.

@@sportydude9337 You have to keep picking the kids and exposing them at times. Its great having Brayshaw Young Serong in the same positions every week of the year. But its inevitable you'll lose at least two of them at critical times of the year. I don't see a plan B or C and think the side has depth but Longmuir isn't multiskilling them in event of injury or poor form.

@@BDub2024 A few young kids did play last year to be fair. A team trying to chase a premiership can almost ill afford to keep rebuilding.

@@sportydude9337 they seem to rely on the same guys a lot. i'm saying that they need to challenge the young guys who may be playing but just as bench players. They need to get those guys ready and rely on the stars less often. Remember they were 14th last year. I think they can finish top 6, but won't win a flag in 2025 and were never going to in 2023 and 2024. So missed opportunity.

@@BDub2024 Probably not. He’s wanting to play and stick with Freo. Does he have the balls to deliver this year? Time will tell. To be fair a few games he outright stuffed up our momentum single handedly. He is probably worth nothing after this season if he doesn’t show his skill.

@@sportydude9337 Erasmus will go for a game. He'd be happy to go to the Eagles and be straight onto a wing and would have played 50 games by now. A South African kid he'd probably be happy to go over east too.

@@sportydude9337 If the Eagles are gifting games to Chesser over the last couple of years, then Erasmus would have been a regular too. Mind you, a few guys gifted games in previous years at West Coast will be playing WAFL time and have a wake up call this year. Freo should finish top 6. No excuses.
