In this episode, we build a generator coil to start generating power via create, and struggle to connect it to some basic gregtech machines. Enjoy

I would recommend using large diesel generators for RPM, you can easily make a potato farm or 2 that both produces the bonemeal and crops needed to make ethanol to power the diesel generators, there's a really simple multiblock that makes basically free crops for all your needs Also ethanol can be used to make really easy LV power with a combustion generator I believe it's called, powered all the lv machines me and my friend have in our playthrough

The Create: New Age generators are pretty powerful and cheap, though. It's also nice having a big, Create-style setup rather than the simple early GregTech singleblocks :P

1. Just plug the connector from the brush to the LV Converter and you're set to go. 2. For transfering EU at this age, please use the soul-infused alloy wire. That wire is the LV superconductor, meaning that it has no loss, and doesn't need insulator

I don't know why I didn't think to plug a connector into the converter, that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the tip

You need to place an electrical connector on both the carbon brush and the energy converter for it to work

you can overclock the electric kinetick ore factory to any power level (making it much more faster), at first, it made no sense to me to make it electric, but once you understand the overclock you will wanto to apply it to everithing xd

The cable burned not because it wasnt insulated, but because the converter was trying to feed 4A through a 1x cable. A line of 4x tin *cable* should work better :) (Just dont forget about cable loss)

I'm surprised gregtech has values like that, it was probably mentioned somewhere and I skimmed over it. Thanks for telling me

@@Thaumiumking9 It's a bit more complicated than most mods of its time, but the gist of the electrical system is that energy travels in packets of a size given by the voltage level (low voltage is 32 EU packets). Each wire/cable has a maximum voltage and amperage it can carry - so a high voltage (512 EU) packet will burn an LV (32 EU) cable (or machine!) and four simultaneous LV packets (4A) will burn an 1A LV cable. The voltage and amperage are separate - even though an extreme voltage cable can carry a single amp of EV (2048 EU), it can _not_ carry 4A of LV even though that's only 128 EU total (unlike in IC), and a 4A LV cable can _not_ carry 1A of MV, even though both have a total "throughput" of 128 EU/t. In both cases, you would have to use transformers to change the voltage first. However, an 4A EV cable _can_ carry 4A of LV. There are more complex ways of handling this, but if you don't want to go crazy and lose a lot of cables and machines... just keep the cable amperage the same as the input - e.g. if you source your machine line from a 4A LV battery buffer, use a 4A LV (or better) cable. You can use energy converters, transformers, battery buffers and diodes to limit amperage going into other lines (more important later when centralized power becomes useful). Insulation has two main purposes - limit voltage drop (e.g. a tin wire has a drop of 2 EU per block, while a tin _cable_ has only 1 EU per block) and make the wires safe to touch. In most GT versions, superconductor wires have no need for insulation and tend to have better amperage too. Cable loss is especially important for the first few tiers - an LV line stretching across the whole chunk loses a whopping half of its energy. Keep hungry machines close to the generators/battery buffers. By the time of EV, you probably don't have to worry about cable loss much, and superconductors are mainly useful for their high amperage.

You should use bulk blasting to smelt ore and stone for free

I'm surprised the windmill can be built like that, but it looks funny so that's all that matters

Try a colloidal chest its big and doesn't need cables for toms simple storage it just needs a terminal
@Thaumiumking94 күн бұрын
I'm aware of colossal chests, and I'll use them when I need to expand my storage. Part of why I used vanilla chests in the first place was to learn how the mod worked for future reference.

Hi, May i ask how do you fugured out the kinetic ore machine, i have everything set and the item pipe doesn´t take items from output bus.
@Thaumiumking94 күн бұрын
Use a wrench on the cable to toggle extraction into the connected chests. It's just like the fluid pipes in a previous episode

Speed up your magnets for faster energy production
@Thaumiumking94 күн бұрын
I know I can speed them up, I just didn't have the stress capacity to go much faster.
