I really liked the early sets that looked like they were done in a basement somewhere - like when they were supposed to be outside on other planets ! This was all SUPER COOL .. Where was this ? Awesome, where is that? I once went to the Star Trek Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton in the year 2002. It had similar sets, and they did a live reenactment with actors

I didn't realize Auxiliary Control was a set / room unto itself. I always thought they just put up a partition in engineering to make it look a bit different, then wheeled a new console in front of the partition. Every time I see that red metal mesh, I assume that is what's happening, just a redress of Engineering because they did that so many times.
