My guess is faction-specific reinforcements packs. I envision something along the line of an 'Alliance Pack', featuring 1x Vorcha-class, 2x Bird of Prey, 1x Ambassador-class, 1x Miranda-class and 1x Saber-class. The same could be done for the Dominion and Cardassians, possibly even the Breen. In the future I definitely want a 'Borg Confrontation' pack with 1x Borg Sphere, 1x Akira-class, 1x Sabre-class and 1x Steamrunner-class.

I would certainly love to see all of those options in the game eventually. The collection of ships introduced in the fight against the cube in First Contact could be a "First Contact" pack or something.

With the foil of Picard in the preview set and his first class of ship in the Core set, I am thinking there might be different eras in the game way down the road. Of course they did like to do different time travel episodes in TNG.

Yeah, I totally see them doing Kirk era ships and characters if the game is successful.

I always loved the Klingon and Romulan ships. I think this game could take off.

Command battleship? No, with all those civvies on board it was definitely an exploration ship imho. Exploration on steroids I'll grant you ;)

Heheh, you are not wrong. The OG purpose of the Galaxy was to be a deep space explorer that can take families and not need to return to a Starbase for years on end. However, during the Dominion War, they were refitted to pure military application and turned into focused command and control war ships. Specifically the Venture refit.

@@Downsizeit ahh, I didn’t realize. Have to catch up on my DS9. The early DS9 turned me off and I never finished the series.

@@BoreSight1973 I do highly recommend trying to push through. The first 3 seasons are rough for sure, especially if you are used to the TNG style. But Season 4 and onward, the show takes off and is really good. IMO, the 2nd best Trek to TNG.

I think the expansions you've mentioned make a lot of sense. The Federation has such a wide variety compared to most. Maybe we'll get a Nebula down the road haha! If they do decide to add different eras I'd love to see the Movie era with the Enterprise-A, etc, etc.@@Downsizeit

I would love to see a somewhat scaled model of DS9, but my guess is it will be multiple token based mission.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if DS9 (or starbases in general) are just tokens included in the initial core set. Would be really neat if eventually we get pseudo-scale models.

Constellation was likely chosen because it fit in better with the box set missions. Akira or Excelsior would've been too powerful. I would advocate for a Miranda class instead of Constellation

I believe you are correct in your assessment. Although, I think a Miranda would be more akin to a "scout" class in this timeline, which the Defiant provides in this set at least.

I imagine if this takes off and successful, we may see an added focus to the Kirk era and/or the "current" era (2400s).

I've got a pre-release game booked the day before Armada day 1 at Adepticon. Looking forward to it, esp finding out a little about how fleet play will work. Hopefully it's well balanced and this will be a game that lasts. Attack Wing was kinda bad and still seems to have a player base all these years later, so.. there's def a market for a decent Trek game. Just got to hope that Wizkids don't "wizkids" it. 😅

I don't have much experience with Wizkids, but I have heard things. I too hope they don't screw it up. But the player base is there.

Ambassador class, that would be nice see in play.

If they are packaging Expansions as Campaign kits. You might see mixed Factions to replay them according to the Campaign. A big question I have is do they hold the rights to all Star Trek Ships. If they do, there is a possibility of the old FASA designs coming into play. Which would especially help the Romulans on ship variety. The Nebula, Southern Class is one of my favorites. Cmdr Data's first Command. Ambassador and Excelsior are also must haves.

Yeah, you may be right about doing campaign kits. They are doing something similar for attach wing at the moment and I wouldn't be surprised if they mirror that business model for now. As far as total rights, I am not up on those things for Star Trek.
