Star Trek: Invasion is a video game, released in 2000 for the Sony PlayStation console. The game was developed by Warthog Games for Activision. The game also has some distinction being developed by the same team (who were mostly working under Warthog Games) responsible for the Colony Wars series.
A "space combat shooter" title, Star Trek: Invasion is based on characters and situations from Star Trek: The Next Generation. The game features voice acting performances by several Star Trek actors, including Patrick Stewart (Jean-Luc Picard) and Michael Dorn (Worf).
Invasion was the first Star Trek game to be released for the Sony Playstation. It was developed by Activision in conjunction with Warthog Games, who had previously created the Colony Wars series of games.
IGN gave the game an 8 out of 10. Starlog praised the game, saying that it "delivers big and entertains" and said that the graphics were "great", but criticised the Star Trek experience saying that the music lacks the feeling of the franchise and the ships seen in the game don't match those which appeared on television or in the films. It added that players should be "pleased with the game" if they could sidestep the lack of a typical Gene Roddenberry/Star Trek feeling.

It actually makes sense when you think about it. The weakness of the Borg is volume of fire in a short time. During Wolf 359 Starfleet used wave tactics and did no damage to the cube because it adapted between waves. At the Battle of Sector 001 they swarmed the Borg, doing large amounts of damage on different frequencies, stopping the Borg from adapting to one group and that group being neutralized during a second wave. The cube would instead have to switch defenses for every hit with a huge amount of fire coming in at once.

Is not so insane, USS Raven and Hansen family follow The Borg to the Delta Quadrant, or near Delta Quadrant - and this is consider a canon, another Example - in Star trek III Starfleet send USS Grissom to Genesis planet without some support.

That's the thing.. the Lovell wasn't there to investigate a borg invasion. It was simply laying sensor probes, and one of them picked up the borg.

the sovereign class assault cruiser is supposed to use the same phaser arrays as a starbase. a ship with starbase level firepower should have no problems with fighters

This game was really hard to play at 1st they didn't have a regular game control when you're piloting with star fighters I literally had to tilt it one way and another laugh another like the command consoles of a federation ship

Joshua Plotkin depends the typhon seems to have arpund the same volume as a sovereign because of its internal space being larger. (Since the ships boxier)

it only needs to house 26 valkyrie some sickbays and 4 intrepid warp nacelles. so the size is correct. it only has 11 decks, voyager had 7. it has twice the volume of voyager so doesnt need to be longer.

There is an image of an upscaled version with 6 nascelles that carrys 2 defiant class ships as well. But its fan made, looks incredible though.

@@danielbrice5663 Voyager (Intrepid Class) had 15 decks, not 7. Though you are right, 26 valkyrie class fighters don't need that much internal space (with the size the ship is, I am surprised the Typhon isn't carrying at least double that along with some shuttlecraft).

I have removed digital noise, mpeg artifacts, video enhanced the colour, sharpness, contrast then improved the frame rate from 15fps to 60fps and upscaled the resolution from 320x224 to 1920x1080 using the original video file ripped from the original PS1 Video File Then I use interpolation which duplicates the missing pixels based on the surrounding ones (i had the crazy scientist idea of interpolating two seperate images: The FMV's running from the PS1 game in native 1080p with my Upscaled Raw Format Video File to fill in the blanks) reduced pixelation, applied softening and chroma upscaling, the main problem and were all the hardwork comes in is removing the visual artifacts which is increasingly difficult with fast moving video. I have then been able to mostly clean up the ringing effect or ghosting, change aspect ratio to fill entire screen and get back to my full time job, This was done for myself and fans like you because every other available version of Star Trek Invasion cutscenes I could find online were just such poor quality it urged me to take the time working on this video (not just upscaled) if it's not for you then it's not for you dude It's the best we're gonna get with what we got unless they remake or remaster I but we will see :) Please feel free to look at my other work over on my KZbin channel Best Regards :)

@@AlejandroTodiscoThanks! this video is from 2016 so its outdated in 2020 I now use a program to extract the original videos from the Playstation 1 disc (320x240 @ 15fps) then I use gigapixel AI to upscale the video then I use a mixture of editing tools from Adobe creative cloud to re-arrange the clips in the correct order, apply fade in/out etc and clean up the audio then retouch the final video (3840x2160 @ 60fps), heres a link to my new remaster technique for example... kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4fSq2SYZpl8opI
