'Beyond Antares' made with a single consumer grade computer was intended as proof that I have the ability to make the impossible, with real voices naturally edited and blended, (even back then, 5 years ago,. and much more so now, with AI voice replacement, GPT3 around the corner etc.),.
This was the LEAST of the 20 episodes, the one I was willing to just put out there even with no help or commitment from the fans,. BUT I was unable to create the complex Alien world i wanted with no Pro equipment and ZERO donations were coming in fast and furious! so, I had to stop... BUT ALSO I HAD TO COINTINUE.. I plan to 'render' the rest of my 19 episodes, as 3D 360° VR (HOLODECK STYLE!) (and as normal 2D and 3D 'shows' viewable on screens) -- BUT in VR, instead of just watching, ones joins in the immersive action as a crew member where your actions will affect the story! ALSO I want to make a CLUB HOUSE,. A STATION.,. SO if you have VR, WE will be able to go on the DS9 promenade (etc.) with other people in VR and be social, play 3D CHess, watch Lute performances by SPock,. as Multiplayer experience,.

Amazing work on home computer. What I find most impressive is the dialog. The real caracter's voices but a new story, how did he make it convincingly flow. The story is good too. Shame nothing has come out further except for a part of ep3. Perhaps he didn't get enough support?

Thank you! I had to blend and 'merge' a lot of words and sentences! I have 18 more full length episodes (in audio form) waiting for visuals, but I need a little help buying a real computer first. I read that web article on how you edited together the voice clips (BRILLIANT job by the way!) With your amazing audio editing skills surely some other CGI artists could help you on the characters for future episodes. There are some BRILLIANT CGI artists out there making Trek fan films. I just saw this, THANK YOU! I have put many feelers out to try to get 3D models, I wanted to create the next 18 45-minute episodes in 3D virtual reality and set them in the Motion Picture era, (!!!) but no one has responded even to help out with a single 3D model even of the Refit Bridge, much less a high end CGI character. No one sent anything to help after that article came out, even hardware wise. One very old Dell that doesn't work. Alas, I think the project is dead.. If I have more computing power someday in the future, I will complete Beyond Antares, but the alien dimension Spock is trapped in, is very complex to render with many layers and surprises, I can't render it with my 2 computers only. Turns out: 'if you build it, they won't come!'

Thank you! It is all the real voices from the real actors! --> In addition to using their voices from the (not well known) games, I made a database of all their spoken words to allow me to 'expand' considerably on what they have said, in their own voices! I made this project in 3ds Max animation software (many hundreds of man hours). I actually made 18 full length episodes and the other 17 sit and wait and will probably go to the grave with me: (why? All that work to prove my concept, and no one ever donates enough for a new mouse pad much less a new computer. Axanar makes a talking head trailer and a promise and gets a million $! Crazy world. I am so out of hard drive space I have to delete old work to make new.. :( I'd make the next 17 episodes as interactive VR Holodeck Adventures if I could get together enough money to buy a modern computer I can build and make anything except money apparently. You are the perfect example of what I have often said, and no one listens. The day will fome when we can create new shows, episodes, characters or just about any continuation of a cacelled show, through CGI. Give enough tome and it will happen. I can only imagine, studios and corporations attempts to give backlash to creators like yourself, because of greed and the stupidity to control. Through so many means, Star Trek has been kept alive. It first aired just before my first child was born and now I am 76 with grandchildren...at least 2 generations of Star Trek fans with more adding on. I am delighted!

I am, just this week coming back to the project to finally finish part 3 and move beyond leading the way, jnto the Star Trek Fan Film *in VR* era! I saw so little actual support when I made this, that I hot discouraged and stepped away from it. But, rather than a lot of interest all at once, more like a slow burn.. people have discovered this over time, sending their compliment, and though *very few* ever send help to build better equipment, (a total of 5 people have sent between $20 and $50 in all these long years and THATS IT, not even enough to buy even a single GPU computer card. HOWEVER, when I look past that,. the compliments have accrued to the point where I really want to finish regardless of near universal lack of support, for the people who really liked it, and maybe couldn't afford to help make it happen, but want the rest of the story. SO, I'm biting the bullet and going to finish asap and then tackle animating the next 18 episodes (I already have ready & edited in audio form). So, to that end: *I sold most of my belongings and built one good modern computer to work on to complete Beyobd Antares!* My 78 year old Air Force Pilot Brother from Missouri, (who I lost recently, we were very close), loved Star Trek (and my work too). I sure wish I had finished this for him, if no other reason. But I am doing so now! I think he would be proud that even though I could not drum up any real support or help from the fans, I took the initiative and sold my precious telescope, some tools and and other things, for my work and my Art in order to be pro-active and move forward somehow. I will unfortunately need more power than just the one computer to render, at least one more to render WHILE I work, but will just have to hope I find some way to make that happen, I can't let lack of immediate enthusiasm from the Trek community hold me back anymore, I have to make my Art regardless. A viewer surprised me and paypal'd $20 last week-that was a big part of what spurred me on ever since, a tiny drop in the bucket, but a beginning and it shows me there is still real interest. I am waking up happy again and getting right to work so.. I'm back! It won't be long now, I have to build at least one second machine, so I can render (calculate final output) on one, while working and creating new scenes on the other, thats my biggest limitation right now, that I can't do both at the same time. The hours and days the computer is rendering are hours and days Lost, where I have no machine to work on. (Rendering takes 100% of computer resources). I literally have 18 more episodes, all with the real voices ready, a new Trelabe, a new Harry Mudd, a 2 part Klinhon ep. with JG H. Klingon actor. I could right now, easily be outputting one new episode every 3-4 months for 4+ years, *if only I had a few more modern computers.* It has always been such a struggle with every odd imaginable against me. 3 years battling cancer, never having or able to use *"the right tool for the job" as Mr. Scott would say,. it is the real deal.all the real voices., in addition to voices from the 90's games, I have created a database that allowed to get them to say pretty much anything and together with all the games, shows and movies I was about to make a 4th season of TOS, but after all that work amd making this as proof, no one donated enough for a Computer Mouse, much less the workstation i would have needed to keep going. 18 more full length episodes, each better than this, will go to the grave with me I guess. Some, maybe most but DEFINATELY not all dialog from the game, this was a huge effort to make an 'episode' out of disjointed dialog! I re-ordered, edited extensively, added entire sections, made new sentences out of splicing etc.! Too bad Trek fans don't donate or I would have output the other 18 episodes by now with modern tools in Unreal Engine.

Hey, Someone with my same name, icon (and some of my files!), responded (rudely, ) as if they were the creator of my work. I just happened to notice logging on tonight, What the hell? They don't have access to MY channel I don't think, (Ah! I just clicked, They have only 38 subscribers, not my 2,030 or so.. its a different channel, and a space before 'VR' in the name.)... Holy crap that is why people keep saying I was rude to them!! I deleted the Post and Reported it! Talk about identity theft! GREAT JOB I suppose it could be possible to create entirely new animated stories by using existing audio and video from the TV show, cartoon and movies. i would love to see an original story or two done using the chemistry of the 1966 version. What I mean by chemistry is to capture all the elements that made the show poplar such as the sound effects, music, lighting effects, attitudes, and of course, stories. It would be difficult to accomplish all of this but it would be worth a try.

Thanks buddy that's cool to say. What I have been doing recently is creating seemingly self-aware AI powered NPCs that can hear you speak and talk back to you naturally. Almost everything I've learned I've learned in order to make Star Trek come to life as a holodeck (VR) adventure. AI is bringing me so much closer to that! When I have time I'm going to turn my TOS sets into VR as well! And someday soon I'll be able to use AI to power at all feed it a novel, and it will generate the voices and dialogue and you can leave the novel or the episode in VR with the other characters! Don't worry the dream is not dead! :)

It was good 11 years ago, the technology was nascent and Very Few People knew how to do any of this... I'll defend my animation (even that far back) to say most video game animation, even today has the eyes locked dead in the head, no leading, no movement. No soul. I have good eye animation. You are not noting the difference between the look of something and how it moves. Sort of the opposite of final fantasy which looked beautiful and photo-real but the animation was terrible and the eyes were deadlocked in the head. Now with photo-real metahumans, the look part is easy.... And the Animation part I've been learning for 25 years. Thank you for the partial compliment however! :)

John Wright Update: Hey bud, it'a been a long time, I think the project is finally dead. No more than 5 people in 2 long years made small donations. I'm not an inheritance brat like Trump, I have to live and work so can't thimk of donating more time (after the years I already wasted) to these miraculous lost episodes, if people are supremely un-interested in supporting them. If they need me to kickstart and offer 'perks' rather than just supporting via the 3 easy methods of support (Amazon pay, Paypal and Google wallet) then, the point seems moot. The Productions are the Perks. If the Art isn't enough I honestly can't see t-shirts and stickers being helpful, I can't afford perks anyways. It's such a Damn Shame.. I have 17 Full- Length LOST but NEW Star Trek TOS episodes, with professional editing, music and Sound effects. (and of course all the voices of the original crew, the Last Work of the original crew, some of whom have passed on) Waiting, Fully Produced, to be animated and released... For hecks sake: I have a 2-part Klingon episode with all the Original. Klingon Actors Voices (THEIR LAST WORK), a New Harry Mudd with the actual actors voice, a new TRELANE episode with the actual actors voice. The Last work of our Beloved Favorites, and Almost No Support. IF THESE MIRACLES ARE NOT ENOUGH for the Trek community to get involved, then Trek is indeed Dead and I wasted years of my life. The audio portion of these episodes is Done and READY to be ANIMATED. BUT: They will probably be lost to time, I will die and the LAST work of our FAVORITES, 17 LAST full length adventures, will die with me. It is such a BALL ACHING SHAME. I have great anger that I could create So Much with 2 lowly desktop computers, and still the So-Called Intelligent Forward Thinking Trek Fans, can't IMAGINE how much more and better it would be, if the cteator of 'Beyond Antares' actually, Finally, had some REAL EQUIPMENT to work on. Like Trek itself, the sky would be the limit. I thought Trekkies would logically conslude, IF HE CAN MAKE THAT MUCH WITH TWO NOTHING DESKTOP COMPUTERS AND A MERE 12GB of RAM. then Imagine the OUTPUT from 10 Pro level Computers with 128 - 256 GB of RAM, it would be HOLLYWOOD quality, Beautiful Photorealistic Representations of the orginal actors speaking with their Actual Voices in 17 Full Length New Stories. How could it fail right? LOL. I even spoke in multiple articles about making the next 17 episodes not just as 2D AND 3D productions but also, as 360° 3D VR 'HOLODECK' production where one is INSIDE the Scene With the Characters! I'm sorry for your pain..I watched my little boy waste away with AML over an 18 month period living in USCF. After I lost him I was a mess for over a year, Lost my woman and my job and had to deal with the emptiness in my heart alone. As it is now, I AM the last one left in my family, I'm middle aged and not in good health and nothing in life looks to ever get better now. I don't believe that our fate is pre-ordained, but in your own words you should have died but didn't, maybe there's a reason. Something to consider, remember the episode "Balance of Terror" where Kirk is stressing about the life or death situation they're in with first contact with the Romulans?. McCoy has to remind Kirk of just how unique he is in ALL of creation basically "There's only one Jim Kirk" and so forth. I don't know you and will likely never meet you but please think about that. So don't think I'm too big of a geek when I wish you a long life and prosperity.

Hi, I took 'lost episode' out and changed it to MIRACLES! :) LOL I do think i is a lost episode though, as it is the real actors voices, and I do have 18 more episodes ready if I ever can afford a modern computer to animate them with (no one seemed to want to help even with a few dollars after Axanar, and Axanar happened just as I was needing a new machine to finish the part t 3 Alien scenes! I started working on it 12 years ago. It was a very hard to make a good-looking character that long ago. Now I have the ability to recreate the characters photoreal and use AI to recreate their voices to recreate entire stories or the books. Hello I'm contacting you from my other account hope you're still interested because things are gonna get really interesting now that there's AI that is capable of recreating actors and we have many many books from both TOS and T and G that could be turned into CGI episodes, And with the technology available today and the training I have done for the past 4 years in unrelention and other high in tools it could even look like the actual episodes that's how close we can get CGI characters today.
