This video is a brand new story, with new animation, new dialogue that reuses some elements from the Animated STAR TREK series that aired on Saturday mornings from 1974 to 1974. I created this and it is the third new animated STAR TREK episode featuring Captain Kirk and his crew to be produced in more than four decades. This is not a redub of an old show.

The comfortable family type atmosphere of the Enterprise. 6. The special effects. 7. The theme of space exploration. 8. @@eugenetswong So far as I know, it was never hinted at until TNG, but one might extrapolate backwards and assume they had the technology in TOS but it just never came up. Wow that was Awesome! Well done Curt! I realize how important the music is, it sets the mood and says so much without words. I was taken back to 70's, 10 yrs old, Saturday morning. Thank you!! 🖖🙏🏼😁

"Buffalo folk, won't you come out tonight..." ^_^ Why not? The more aliens, the merrier. One of the great things about the animated series is that it was so much easier to create aliens. Thanks for making these. TAS premiered when I was 10, and it was my introduction to Trek.

This is magnificent. Just like Filmation would've done it.

Absolutely FANtastic! When TAS was originally aired, it was a dream come true to have my most favorite show in production again. Even though, even as a child I found the music score abhorent, as it was shared throughout the Filmation productions and entirely too whimsical for Trek. I agree with other commenters that your voices are a bit rough... You have a long lasting standing ovation from me! Thank you!

I'd rather watch more of such fan-made efforts than more of ST Lower Decks. There's a missing opportunity for CBS Viacom there.
@ElMarlboroMan3 жыл бұрын
You're entitled to that opinion but i personally believe LD is one of the best series since DS9. The Discovery is the one who is making a mockery out of the Roddenberry Universe

I always make it a point of watching anything that involves the original series or the animated series. The stories can always continue this way.

James Doohan did by his own acting ability become the fourth of the great 4 characters of TOS Star Trek. There are too many TOS episodes where Scotty is ultimate cool and an excellent subordinate to Capt. Kirk. He would have been the first choice, next in line, to captain a starship.

This was really good. Love how the other spaceship had the Moonbase Alpha sound effect from Space:1999.

Nice! I wondered if anyone would notice. The ambient sound from Alpha's Main Mission was one of the two sounds added for the alien ship bridge.

Wow, I watched the originals in 1973, and if you had told me this was one of them, my response would be, "Really? Gee, I guess I must have missed one then. Not sure how, but that was nearly 50 years go. So I'm getting old and just forgot this one." It's that close to the original's quality and feel.

If you're a child of the 70's, this was probably your first introduction to "Star Trek".🙂

No, it was my first introduction to new episodes. I'm glad my father lived long enough to see them.
@citizenken70698 ай бұрын
@@ydoomenaud It was definitely my first introduction to "Star Trek". I'd never even heard of it before I saw the cartoon version. It was about a year later when they started showing the reruns of the original series on our local station. Like most kids my age, I quickly became a fan!

Scott & McCoy sharing an "adult beverage"--THAT would have never happened on the actual Animated Series. Can you imagine the parental complaints? ^__^

You're probably right, but I can't help but recall 'The Slaver Weapon' where the Kzinti were obviously killed when the weapon exploded. Another Saturday morning no-no. Perhaps the censors just didn't catch on... :-)

Nah, people are way more sensitive and more easily offended today. The drink would have been fine. I grew up in (and survived) the 70’s where many of the toys at the time could literally kill you...
