@SpaceAce100 I always imagined that the Klingon / Tribble Wars were fought with a biological weapon designed by Klingon science. Biological weapons being relatively new to Klingon science, mistakes were made that profoundly affected the Klingon genome, resulting in the newer turtle head Klingons. Ah, well. I can daydream can't I ?

Wow! This is quite possibly the best fan production I've ever seen. All the things that normally fall short on fan films (writing, acting, directing, editing) were top notch here. This is engaging from start to finish and I only wish that this could be included as part of official canon, since the tale adds a great deal of depth top Klingon culture and could fit in flawlessly with what we've been shown in TNG and ENT. As James Cawley's final entry playing Kirk, this is a fabulous way to say goodbye.

Waltzing in here 6 years later, I came to say that after trying to breathe in the toxic atmosphere of Discovery and Picard, this is a welcome breath of fresh air. This episode actually has a gripping story, a complex and strong plot, superb acting, and, most of all, a lack of political agenda and/or activism that interferes with the storytelling. This is what Star Trek was and should be.
@obsideon13434 жыл бұрын
What political agenda do you refer, anti racism, war , cooperation and projecting a brighter future of the future? Funny that's what Star Trek projected from the very beginning especially in the 1960's. Perhaps Gene did it much better but those messages were always there in TOS
@moondoggieist4 жыл бұрын
I comply with that sentiment exactly ! Now with the CBS Libtard lawsuit, we will no longer be able to witness such great achievements from Star Trek New Voyages or all of the other fan base achievements, it's quit sad that corporate Globalists destroy such a genius as this show, which in my view is Star Trek as Gene Rodenberry envisioned! How do we get out from under a corporate cabal in cahoots with Communist China. Discovery & Picard reeks of toxicity, placates to political ideology and is boring as a Tiberian bat!

Mr. Cawley: An excellent production from every angle. I must say this is one of the most exciting and epic chapter I have ever seen within the Phase II saga, and even better than some TOS tv shows. High definition delivers new details and brilliant new colours to all the sets and space locations, and the new aspect ratio (16:9) adds new life to them, in comparison to the old series. Special effects are also top of the art. A remarkable job indeed, perfectly done. And I loved that Corvette driving reference when you are on the bridge. This episode is simply amazing. I´m going to miss you as the captain of the Enterprise, but I believe Vic Mignogna is about to do it great as captain as well. Will Mr. Doohan be included also in the part of Scotty? As a former actor, I call it the regional little theater course. When an actor sounds "wooden" its typically because they are conscious of acting while they are saying their lines. It takes practice to be able to completely immerse yourself. For some that comes easy, and we call it talent. For others they can almost never achieve it. A lot of these fan made productions are all about winning a role through fan love, not acting ability. Gotta love the passion and the effort, but it still feels a but cringy most times.

I agree. I LOVE these fan efforts like this and especially Star Trek Continues. I prefer how Vic Mignogna portrays Kirk a little better than how Cawley does: he tries to LOOK the part, both physically and in how Shatner portrayed Kirk (in interviews, Mignogna indicates that he's been play-acting Kirk since he was a young child, so his "experience" shows!). James Cawley's acting is fine, but come on- he COULD wear a wig to look more like Shatner; after all, Shatner himself was wearing a wig! Maybe Cawley tried to look like Shat, and it came off badly so he decided to not do it.

Oh, so much win with this.... Loved the Kruge and Klingon Ambassador cameos.
Kruge was in the tavern, I'm not 100% sure but I think the person that you're referring to as the Ambassador presumably from Star Trek V is out there in the audience the four Kirk presents the dagger to the Kitumba. ..

I love this series. Well done and faithful to TOS in spirit and look.

Anyone pick up McCoy's comment at 102:48 "Ill be glad I'm not going to be around." Which of course was ironic since, other than Spock, McCoy outlived that crew and was around to see the Federation and Klingons become solid allies. He made a brief cameo on the first episode of Star Trek Next Generation.

Wow, this 1000 percent better than Discovery. I wish they could have made more before they got shut down.

Great job Spock! This Cap Kirk is way ooooover the top. I have to watch the rest of the episode to be fair. It is great that you guys allow comments from the general viewers.

Wow! Not only with James Cawley doing his usual great job as Captain Kirk, but also Michele Specht and Vic Mignogna as two awesome Klingon villains as well! Nicely done! This is indeed worthy of the name Star Trek!

@P. Kelly Stark 939393 OH? Unless u got a better idea on what better accent suits Klingons eh? then i find nothing wrong with Klingons with Aussie accents. Since i find your comment to be an insult my accent since i was born down under u goof.

@P. Kelly Stark 939393 true true. Also The Klingons (orks) in Star Trek Discovery also have no Aussie or New Zeland Accent either despite how hated ST Discovery is compared to over forms of Trek.

They needed more of a muscleman like the Rock to play Kirk! Just my opinion...

I don't know how I ended up watching this, I thought it was some obscure TOS stuff, but was just as delighted with the fan-fiction actors and story as with some of the TOS episodes. Keep up the great work.

I have to say none of the Star Trek franchises are done badly, some are better than others. I say this because I am not going to say the ordinary people can do better than the 'professionals' when it comes to Star Trek, however, this is easily just as good as the best Star Trek has to offer. Thank you

Just came back from the studios where these episodes were recorded in Ticonderoga NY. Incredible original TOS sets and props. Strongly recommend to take a tour if in the area. Thanks again Mr Cawley.
