@ maybe. But to portray Vulcans as ready to ditch some of their most sacred traditions (vegetarianism) at the first sign of difficulty is a little sad. It’s just poor writing. It’s one of my major gripes with that show.

I sure did like Mestral- his story is continued in three Trek novels. It would have been cool to see a spin-off series or even a movie (which obviously would have been almost impossible). He ended up meeting&helping Zefram Cochrane and Gary Seven. He saved Cochrane’s life by redirecting him to relocate from New York (which was destroyed in the early years of WW3) to Bozeman,MT. It was good that he didn’t care much about the Vulcan Science Directorate… he found out about Cochrane by time-traveling! He met (and helped) Spock&Kirk,too… in the 20th Century.

Valley of Enchantment, part of Crestline, located in the San Bernardino National Forest. Never saw the actors but met some of the crew. What was funny is the white building they walk into is actually a small laundermat. Looks nothing like that on the inside.

I just found out that none of this was filmed in PA, the exterior scenes were filmed near San Bernardino, CA. They couldn't have found a small town in PA to film this to make it more authentic? Then again San Bernardino is a lot closer to the Paramount Studios lot in LA where most of the Star Trek series were filmed.

@OptimusWombat2 ай бұрын
If you can believe they were speaking English, then you can also believe they were using metric. Otherwise, just assume that units of measurement have been translated for our benefit along with the rest of their language.

Я всегда не понимал почему все энлопланитяни говорят на англиском че у всех уневерсальный перевотчик или это влажная мечта сша
@shmuck662 ай бұрын
I like to think about it like this. The Universal Translator also translated their Vulcan measurement units into our most accepted measurement units. So we see vulcans speaking english and using metric. Of course I could be more pragmatic and mean, and say it's a silly TV show haphazardly made for entertainment and not accuracy.
