Take notes, not only Star Trek writers and directors, but all SF powers that be. Perfect ending to a perfect season. Don't worry, John, we all cried. Beautiful reaction.

Loved this reaction! Yeah I cried too when Picard told Jack if you stay, I will stay with you. So powerful. So many great moments and emotional moments. The acting, the writing, the action, the visuals all delivered in this finale. This was a wonderful send off for the TNG crew, and I hope we see more adventures in the 25th Century with the Enterprise G with Seven as Captain and Jack and company along for the ride. Really looking forward to the full review with you, Vogel, Mantz and Steve Morris!

Thank you John and fantastic reaction video of a fantastic finale! Like you I got emotional when Jean-Luc dropped these killer lines: “it’s been an honour” and of course when he says he’ll stay with Jack. The fact that sacrifice was actually brought Jack out was so beautiful. Thank you for allowing us to share your journey through this momentous moment in Trek history. This is way we love you John, you are a real one! Tough bloke with an open heart! Nothing but love for that and for you! This whole season and this finale is up there with peak Trek like Wrath of Khan and Best of both Worlds. All killer no filler! What a week!? Succession roll on with some deep stuff, Mando season finale and then this wonderful end of an era. The world can be dark and unforgiving place, but when there is TV out there that shows how great the human spirit still is and can be! Who would have thought that we’d ever see TV of this standard and quality? A great time to be alive! WHOOOOO!

So I think we can all agree, it'd be a crime if Paramount didn't give Terry Matalas and his team the keys to the Enterprise G for an original Star Trek series, and if they don't, then we got a powerful send-off for The Next Generation crew, which is way more than what we going to get prior to his intervention.

My only pet peeve about the last episode is that they should have re-named the Titan A, USS Picard if they wanted to honor Picard for his accomplishments. Jean Luc Picard is not as attached to the name Enterprise as say James T Kirk. His favorite ship was the Stargazer.

Based on statments made by Terry Matalas I don't expect any other Star Trek show other then Starfleet Acadamy coming anytime soon. So this supposed Star Trek: Legacy show is just an idea that is being talked about but there are no plans for active development. That post-credit scene wasn't meant to imply another show coming according to him. It's also said that Paramount+ isn't going forward for the development of new shows until 1 of the 5 shows that were currently running ended it's run. Now that Picard has come to an end there's an open spot that's going to be filled by the Startfleet Acadamy show. So I'm guessing IF Star Trek: Legacy would ever see the light of day it would be after Discovery ends or maybe even after Strange New Worlds ends.

I've said this elsewhere, but it can't be said enough - Terry Matalas is to TNG what Nicholas Meyer was to TOS. He completely turned around a franchise & unified the fanbase in a way that seemed impossible. I know Terry doesn't sit well with the barbs at previous caretakers, but ST:P was a lost cause for so many fans. He was given the opportunity to make the show he wanted & it was exactly what this show needed. I really hope Kurtzman realizes what a treasure trove of creative talent made this season possible & fast-tracks 'ST: Legacy" into production ASAP.

I have to say that everyone was great. I was trying to determine who was the MVP of the show, other than Sir Patrick. For the first 4-5 episodes it was looking like a clear win for Riker and Frakes for his acting and directing. Later Geordi and Data had some strong episodes. Crusher was great throughout. But of the TNG crew I have to say Worf was great in every episode and the character who changed the most. But, I have to say overall that Jeri Ryan killed it. With best newcomer to dip-shit Liam Shaw. Everyone was really good. Best guest performance for an episode is easily Michelle Forbes.

Seven of Nine as captain, Raffi as her #1, Jack Crusher as whatever the f"ck you need him to be, Sydni LaForge, Alandra LaForge, the young Guinan still toting thst dump action shotgun or what is its 25th Century equivalent; Captain Liam Shaw as his acerbic, noble but lovable *ssh*le if only in a recurring, and all the surviving bridge crew of the USS TITAN, including that cook who only had minimal flight training but stepped up and will now be the hero and inspiration of every fanboy and fangirl so they will get our of their parent's basements and KNOW they can SUCCEED and CHANGE THE WORLD. . . . And Jack Crusher . . . . as whatever the f"ck they need him to be. I will watch that show for seven seasons or more, or until the day I die . . . Hoping that I can get Paramount+ in the afterlife. And no complaints about this comment. I wrote it in 15 minutes.

What bothers me is what happens to Agnes jurati? She became the borg Queen in season 2.. Memory Alpha makes the borg to be extinct at least the primary Collective! does that mean that Agnes is dead? This is how you respect the characters, the lore, canon, and the fans... so. now we need, a proper send of for the Enterprise series, cos that shows ending was atrocious... on one hand i liked Riker meddling on the Enterprise, but also didnt liked the overall idea of it... so a proper ending with a time jump, would be great, cos that would make them being older totally okay, maybe Archer as Admiral..

I loved the Picard finale. I did enjoy _Strange New Worlds_ more though. Its fitting this ended with a Death Star trench run. While I loved the cameo by Chekov’s son and I get that his name is Anton as a nod to Anton Yelchin, I hear the name “Anton Chekov” and I just think “19th century Russian writer”. Can we please get this Seven, Raffi, and Jack spin-off they set up? What do you call it tho? “Enterprise-G" makes no sense out of context & “Legacy” is too bland in my opinion. Call it something like "Outcasts" or "Misfits" because of Raffi, Seven, and Jack's exchange about giving a thief, a pirate, and a spy a ship. I saw someone suggest that they bring someone on to play Jake Sisko too. He doesn’t have to be Starfleet. Maybe he's a civilian reporter covering one of these "five year missions." Or he's writing his first novel and used nepotism to get on the flagship. They did lampshade Jack's nepotism in the final episode.
@David-le2kr Жыл бұрын
The show was certainly engineered to make us feel all the feels, continuity and verisimilitude be damned. I think to "love" Star Trek requires a heart able to overcome the mind in order to forgive how dumb it often is. I may no longer have the heart to forgive its silliness.
