This is a 4 part documentary I created about the making of The Motion Picture. Created from various materials released on the Director's cut DVD and the theatrical Blu-ray, plus many (rare) interviews with the cast and crew members.

One of the few Star Trek films that does not involve a mad man with a super weapon seeking revenge.

I loved this film back in 1979/1980 and I love it even more today. Guess which Trek film out of all 13 has the BEST soundtrack? This one. Thanks to the legendary Jerry Goldsmith.

I did laugh a little when Robert Wise was dissing the original series' model as being 'too small.' And how he built a 9 foot model to you know, big it up. Of course, mr. Wise apparently didn't go see the eleven foot original filming miniature that was at the Smithsonian. LOL.

With all due respect Leonard, the ship was the reason I became a fan. To me that was the star of the show. Blame the unending scenes of V'ger's interior on the film's slow pace.

I absolutely love the combination of the beautiful effects shots and the beautiful music by Jerry Goldsmith

The display of V’Ger and the Enterprise coincide with each other. Undoubtedly, The Enterprise is a much more interesting object to observe than the same formation of clouds over and over.
